So you think you've been through it all
But I can't help but wonder now
Yesterday I found my worst regret
I'll hide it away so no one ever knows

I'm dying...
I'm trying to leave

Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on
Every now and then I feel the end of us

I never meant to say I'm sorry
And I'm not sad to see you go
Where human shapes burned on concrete walls
These days the sun don't shine here anymore

(I find it pulling at me)
I'm dying...
(A sea of troubles drowning)
(It's such a shame to feel you drifting)
I'm trying to leave

Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on
Every now and then I feel the end of us
I love the way you breathe inside my head
But something's gotta change, I'm barely holding on

Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on
Every now and then I feel the end of us
I love the way you breathe inside my head
But something's gotta change, I'm barely holding on

Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on
(I find it pulling at me, A sea of troubles drowning)
Every now and then I feel the end of us
(It's such a shame to feel you drifting)

I love the way you breathe inside my head
(I find it pulling at me, A sea of troubles drowning)
But something's gotta change, I'm barely holding on
(It's such a shame to feel you drifting)

I'm barely holding on
I'm barely holding on

General Comment:theres not much i could say about it.. it's just so strange. I can't make a true interpretation. but when i hear this song. I see a little story. can't really explain, but it's like a ghost is talking to his last love. she hurt him, and sent him into suicide kind of.but he can't rest in peace, and is haunting this girl. whispering these things in her ear, the song becomes more powerful and tension seems to grow within it. It's just a story no real interpretation:

So you think you've been through it all
But I can't help but wonder now
Yesterday I found my worst regret
I'll hide it away so no one ever knows
(he's saying this, telling her she doesn't know anything he does, he feels she knows nothing. and the regret part, he regrets ending his life and being with her, but no one shall know. not even if she tells everyone.)

    I'm dying...
    I'm trying to leave
(He still feels like he's dying even as a ghost)

Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on
Every now and then I feel the end of us
(he can't stand it, he wants to be in peace, to rest. and it's driving him even more crazier and he keeps shouting to her, theres some unfinished business)

I never meant to say I'm sorry
And I'm not sad to see you go away
Where human shapes burned on concrete walls
These days the sun don't shine here anymore
(I'm not too sure on this, maybe he didn't mean to say he's sorry after his death, he has nothing to be sorry about, and she should be sorry. his world is dark)

I'm dying... (I find it motivating to see your troubles drowning)
I'm trying to leave (It's such a shame to feel I'm drifting)
(he feels her starting to ignore her, and he finds it strangely motivational to get out that she's starting to forget him.)

Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on
Every now and then I feel the end of us
I love the way you breathe inside my head
But something's gotta change, I'm barely holding on
(not too sure.. as a spirit she's bothering him more than he is to her. she's still in his own head, torturing him as she forgets.)

Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on
Every now and then I feel the end of us
I love the way you breathe inside my head
But something's gotta change, I'm barely holding on
Let me slip away, I'm barely holding on (I find it motivating to see your troubles drowning)
Every now and then I feel the end of us (It's such a shame to feel I'm drifting)
I love the way you breathe inside my head (I find it motivating to see your troubles drowning)
But something's gotta change, I'm barely holding on (It's such a shame to feel I'm drifting)

    I'm barely holding on
    I'm barely holding on

This is just a slight story that came in my head : P i was just thinkin on that day, and i got to this. may sound weird of a story, maybe even crazy. but hey I like the story i made behind this. even if it may not even be the song meaning, i've made my own

General Comment:Has anybody caught the Hamlet reference in here? Tom and Mark are both fans of classic literature (Macbeth, Atticus). Anyways the line is "I find it pulling at me, a sea of troubles drowning." And in Hamlet's famous To Be or Not To Be monologue we see Hamlet contemplating suicide when he says, "To take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them. To die. To sleep. No more." This makes me believe that this song is about suicide because the character in the story is drowning in a sea of troubles but if he opposes them (taking his life and going against the flow) the troubles will stop.

General Comment:"This song if i had to guess was probably inspired somewhat by them similar to "i miss you" being motivated by a song that I believe is called london cats or something along that line."

LOL its Love Cats. Even if you're not a Cure fan you should know the name of the song if you're really a Blink fan cuz its fight in the bookelet for the Blink182 album!

you must of downloaded the album... sad :(

General Comment:I believe when Mark wrote this song is was most definitely about the breakup of Blink. But what makes it so fantastic is how the words are put in a way that we can all relate to. Sometimes when I listen to it, it portrays what's going on in my mind after I've had a dispute with my parents. Or if something's happening with a boyfriend, I listen to this and it's like my emotions in a song.
It's an amazing song; absolutely a favorite.
