I know this is a Disney song, but I can relate. Recently my best friend took the guy I loved. Last year I never would have guessed she'd fall in love with him, and that he'd return the feelings. It hurt. I thought this guy was perfect for me, but in the end he wasn't. I like to think that if my life were a movie there wouldn't be a happy ending.
it doesnt nessisarily need to be abuot jake ryan, but the song is written for him, anyone could beable to relate in a way i guess.
the meaning to me is that:
she is in love with this boy, jake ryan.[or atleast thinks it]
he always talk to her like they are perfect, cinematic[MOVIE LIKE]
but he has every other girl that way
he talks to all of them like that.
he always is the one to go for the obvious girl instead of her!

and she just wants him to see that they would be perfect together, that they would become cinematic[movie like]
