You'd better learn
That this will not blow over and over
High above they're taking over you
And you should know
I will not let you go, let you go

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
There's something greater there
What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
Iit's not gonna change you

We walk along but never turn to see what we have done
(what we have done)
We chose our move so carefully for oyu
(carefully for you)
I will not let you go, let you go

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
There's something greater there
What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
It's not gonna change you

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
It's not gonna change you

I believe in nothing
Why believe in nothing at all
I believe in nothing
Why believe in nothing at all

What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
There's something greater there
What is my body worth?
Was there a price set before?
It's not gonna change you

What is my body worth?
What is my body worth?

General Comment:Actually I find it kind of funny... because I feel like this song is how my relationship with my girlfriend is now...

So how I personally interpret it is that the girl is treating him like crap, (He is asking her what his "body is worth") and she doesn't seem to see what she's doing to him ("We walk along but never turn to see what we have done"). But (in my case at least), he still loves her and doesn't want to leave her ("I will not let you go, let you go"). Another issue is that she keeps doing what shes doing over and over again ("Its not gonna change you") and it's as if there was a "price set before", showing that it's almost as if there's only a maximum amount of respect that she is treating him with.

Plus, he is trying hard to do everything to make the relationship work ("We've chose our steps carefully for you"), also showing that he was exclusively making the relationship work for her.

With the title (It's Far Better To Learn), I'm taking a long jump here, but I feel like it's saying how its better to learn from your mistakes, than for them to go unnoticed. Of course though, that's more of an obvious statement... Possibly the title is just emphasizing it?

Anyways, I understand that this can be religious, but I saw a comment saying how other band members try to make it be relatable to other situations.

Lucky for me though, my girlfriend and I aren't in as much shit as what I interpreted the song to be x]

General Comment:I think this song is about how we put a "price tag" on ourselves and how there's a life there that is far too valuable to put a price on. He also asks why should we believe in nothing. Maybe he finds this worth from God (I don't think he does) or maybe he just believes that we should believe in something. A lot of different things it could mean.

    General Comment:Seriously?

It's obviously about religion. If you understand true Christianity, you can understand where he is coming from.

General Comment:I Agree with circa survive green on the God aspect. It does sound like he's talking to God. Or, maybe he just thought of a bunch of random things that rhymed.

General Comment:I think it has a general topic that causes the individual to reflect their own situations into the song. Each of our bodies was a gift, whether from God or Nature, and we have to make the choices of what we will do with it.

If someone was going through a lot of questions about drugs in their life or someone they cared for, it could easily be taken that way. Or if someone was starting to date casually after a breakup, the sexual problems that come up could come through to that listener. The God idea makes sense as well. This song is good just for this ability to be so meaningful to so many different people without being generic.

General Comment:I think this could be about a loved one with cancer who needs to learn that their death is going to come, and that narrater is struggling to understand why they are being taken away, Possible asks the questions what is his body worth? to god, when his friend was so easily taken away by cancer. Puts him in question of his faith.

    w/e its catchy as hell.

My Interpretation:I think it's about religion to be quite honest. I don't know if it's about being religious or having a lack of faith though, because "Was there a price set before? It's not gonna change you." makes me think of free-will and all that.

General Comment:i think this has to do with religion
    obviously ..
to someone cove knows that's atheist, or when he lost "believed in nothing" .. something like that
and the title is saying it's far better to learn about god, etc.
for yourself .. instead of being told what you should believe from other people

General Comment:I swear this song is about rape.
"you better learn that this will not blow over" -- rape never goes away.

"what is my body worth, was there a price set before, its not going to change you"
She got raped, she thinks thats all shes worth, she wonders "was there a price set before" - is she worth anything anymore? "its not going to change you" - whoever did this to her, its not going to "change" him.
"and you should know, i will not let you go, let you go" ---this part of her life will always be with her, she'll never let it go, shell never forget.

"we walk along but never see what we have done" the said rapist goes on with life, he doesn't see how much damage hes caused.

"i believe in nothing, why believe in nothing at all" this is the girl saying "i believe in nothing" and someone responding asking her WHY? why dont you believe in anything.

General Comment:and wtf Jamalteikorexo Cove Reber didnt write I Can Tell you idiot...that was Anthony Green back then Cove came along after Anthony's project of Circa Survive took over for him and he left the band. Cove explains that he writes his lyrics as if he were a child writing them. Get some of Anthony's poetry such as Jesus and the Sharp Electric Star if you wanna hear something "out there" and thought provoking.
