Let me wrap myself around you
You'll show me how I see it
And when you come back in from nowhere
Do you ever think of me?
Your heart, not able
Let me show you how much I care
I need those eyes to tide me over
I'll take your picture when I go
Gives me strength and gives me patience
But I'll never let you know
I got nothing on you, babe
But I always said I'll try
Let me show you
How much I care
Sometimes it gets hard
Don't you know?

[Chorus x 3]
Don't give the ghost up
Just clench your fist
You should know by now
You were on my list

Your heart, not able
Your ways - they're not able
Let me show you
How much I care
Sometimes it gets hard
And don't ya know?

[Chorus x 3]

When you rock and roll with me
There's nowhere else I'd rather be
When you rock and roll with me
There's nowhere else I'd rather be

General Comment:"When you're heart is not able, you're prayers, they're not fables!" Best line and the lyrics get it wrong.

Song Comparison:Kind of sounds a bit like Human in the verse?
I don't think it's related at all, but it does sound alike

General Comment:I feel like these lyrics could be some sort of suicide note to a someone they love that doesn't feel the same way about them.

General Comment:this song was actually written for Brandon's girlfriend Tana (now wife).

Its basically showing how much he cares for her, and explains the difficulties they go through when he is away touring out late doing concerts somewhere, and he feels the toll its taking on their relationship but he wants her to know that he cares so much for her and doesnt want her to give up the dream they have together about starting a family (don't give the ghost up just clench your fists) so dont give up that dream, just hang on (you should have known you were on my list) he hasnt forgotten about what they want to do together, its on his list.

its a really sweet song and shows how much he cares for Tana which is really nice. Amazing song and beautiful lyrics.

General Comment:This is my fav killers song ever. i always saw it as relating to unrequited love (of course). That it is written from the perspective of someone who is in love with a person, who may not be emotionally ready for a relationship. It could be because the person is so damaged from past situations. They are trying to show that person that they don't want the person who is in fear of a relationship to give up. They want to show that person that it is possible for them to be together. The part about the picture could relate to physical distance or emotional distance. All in all the person who is singing the song to the one whose "heart is not able", is trying to justify to the other to let go of their fear or past because they were always on their "list".

General Comment:I imagined it about him having a prostitute as a girlfriend, who is caught up in the horror of her work and can't really make the relationship work because of this. It's because he says 'when you come back in from nowhere, do you ever think of me?' Really good song, so powerful..
