They're just words, they ain't worth nothing
Cloud your head and push your buttons
And watch how they just disappear
When we're far away from here

And everybody knows where this is heading
Forgive me for forgetting
Our hearts irrevocably combined
Star-crossed souls slow dancing
Retreating and advancing
Across the sky until the end of time

Oh who put all those cares inside your head
You can't live your life on your deathbed
And it's been such a lovely day
Let's not let it end this way

And everybody knows where this is heading
Forgive me for forgetting
Our hearts irrevocably combined
Star-crossed souls slow dancing
Retreating and advancing
Across the sky until the end of time

Like sisters and brothers we lean on each other
Like sweethearts carved on a headstone
Oh why even bother, it'll be here tomorrow
It's not worth a-sleeping alone

And look at you and me still here together
There is no one knows you better
And we've come such a long long way
Let's put it off for one more day

And everybody knows where this is heading
Forgive me for forgetting
Our hearts irrevocably combined
Star-crossed souls slow dancing
Retreating and advancing
Across the sky until the end of time

I just saw "little miss sunshine" for the 5th x. What a lovely movie, and I agree that this song is sooo perfect. I think of the relationship of alan arkins character "grandpa" when I hear the song... the very honest outlook on life. In the movie, alan's character is the most honest, functiional and clearheaded. Almost like...Whatever happens in life, good or bad, it's ok. Let's enjoy the good while we can.

To me, it's a great counter to all those madly-passionate cheese-tastic love songs. "We're in love, it's a great life, let's chill." is sort of the attitude I get from it.

I just watched Little Miss Sunshine for the second time and this song is absolutely perfect. So romantic, yet the music is too beautiful to be cheesy. I believe every word this man says.

It gives me this feeling of.. very human.

Like.. ahh we could have that seemingly impossible fairy tale love and fight for all our dreams.. or we could you know.. just watch TV together or something.. it makes me feel.. human family.

Like.. I COULD do it now.. buuuut.. eh, nah. I feel good now and I don't feel like doing anything.

Goes perfectly with Little Miss Sunshine.. we should make a movie meanings website.

It seems to hint at marriage in my eyes, or another step in the commitment and he is saying let's just appreciate our love.

    Song Meaning

I think this song is about postponing-- almost procrastinating on -- dying. It's called "Til The End of Time" because neither person wants to die. It's a cheery song because there is a sense of control over one's own death.

"You can't live your life on your deathbed... let's not let it end this way"-- 'this way' being death.

"Like sweethearts carved on a headstone Oh why even bother, it'll be here tomorrow It's not worth it sleeping alone" -- don't bother dying, the grave will be here tomorrow, and it's better to sleep together than to sleep alone in your tomb.

"And look at you and me still here together... And we've come such a long long way Let's put it off for one more day"-- Why bother leaving the world we know now? We can die later.

I think the "words" mentioned in the first stanza are fears about dying, which the singer tries to mollify in the rest of the song.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
