We hope you enjoy your stay
And it's good to have you with us
Even if it's just for the day
We hope you enjoy your stay
Outside, the sun is shining
It seems like heaven ain't far away
It's good to have you with us
Even if it's just for the day
And it's good to have you with us
Even if it's just for the day
We hope you enjoy your stay
Outside, the sun is shining
It seems like heaven ain't far away
It's good to have you with us
Even if it's just for the day

It's kinda obvious, no hidden meanings for me.
They recorded the whole album in Sam's Town, the casino, on the 4th floor or something like that. They had a closed off studio there.
Just found that in an interview with Ronnie.

It is a real place, too. It is this humongous extremely nice hotel/casino/campground on the edge of Vegas on the highway heading into the city.
samstownlv.com/… is the website of the place.
maps.live.com/…
is a live map picture of the place as the Killers might see it driving home on the highway. Just minimize the toolbars and stuff. You can drag around and things and turn the camera. I was extremely inspired by the thought that Brandon thinks of this as home. Go on the website for Sam's Town. The place is truly beautiful.
PS- I'm sorry if we are not allowed to post links on this site, because I didn't know. I have nothing but good intentions.
"heaven aint far away" is like Flowers acknowledging his personal growth (the whole album is full of evidence that The Killers have evolved)....because it followed the confused phase in Hot Fuss "heaven aint close in a place like this"
and yes, Flowers is a Mormon, he did live in Nevada (also, it should be out there that so is Brendon Urie of PATD) but techincally neither practise it,they were simply raised Mormon
