God. This song it awesome. It sounds like david bowie, a robot, a haunted pipe organ, and electricty all had sex or something, and this is what happend.

Uhm, I listened to the song, and followed the lyrics, and they seem quite accurate.... actually, extremely accurate. Anyway, this song is brilliant, and in true Presets style it doesn't just stop here, their other stuff is just as good.
I also second what LiamT said.

The start is clearly more like:

I got into the band through this song by watching So You Think You Can Dance with a chick. The performance was cool, but the song snagged me in more than anything. I investigated and ended up falling in love with their music. The Presets are phenomenal. They are definitely not a one-dimensional band. All of it you can dance to, in one way or another. Some of their stuff is best to have someone strip to (especially Kitty In The Middle). I wish more people got into this great band and give them the deserves that they should have.

3rd verse, suspected mistake in this:

Dont know how i can comment on it though, the first time i heard it i thought the chorus was
Whhhyyyyy yyyyy are you dooowwnn , Whhyyyyy yyyyy are you down. embarrasing. :P

out of the frying pan and into the fire makes so much more sense. it's an actual commonly used phrase.. you fell out of the frying pan and into the fire.. meaning going from shit to even worse. :)

makes me think about saturday night and youve got several things on your mind, none of which aer particularly moral...
its got such a big dirty electro hook to add to the sleaze - bosh!!!
Those aussies have got it sussed out at the mo, check out Midnight Juggernaughts too, though im sure all youze will have heard them.

Yes, I agree that it's "out of the frying pan and into the fire", and I've always thought that this song is him talking about a girl he is cheating on his girlfriend with. "Are you the one?" is him wondering aloud if this new girl is the one that's really meant for him.

As for any meaning, I think it might be about a guy who's empted to cheat on his girlfirend while he's out clubbing, but I don't think it matters - it's just an awesome song.
