Um looking at the correct lyrics its really obvious what its about. Its about two lovers, but one owes money to the mafia or a gang. the other lover is trying thier hardest to protect the other. The person owing money keeps getting beaten (another dollars just another blow) and the other lover is trying to help him/her escape. im probably guessing that the one owing money is asking the other oone for cash or for a dangerous favor, and when the one says no, he or she leaves saying i don't love you like i did yesterday, so yah definately gang related folks don't miss that!

Well, I just saw the new music video on youtube, and it's hard to figure out what the meaning of the song is from it. The music video is awesome though. Quite a few of the lyrics are incorrect, as you'll already know if you own the album and actually bothered to read the lyrics. MCR Rocks!!

Oi. It's obvious no one is going to change this, because they're god forsaken twit. I'm not even going to bother putting the correct lyrics here, I'm just going to post them on the site. I don't see how you make most of these mistakes. Either listen to the song intently, or copy the lyric foldout included with the album.

Can't wait to see them sing the correct lyrics in concert in April!

To me this song is about someone he fell in love with deeply but had to leave her but still keeps in touch, he said hed stay nd love forever but she wasnt sure so delayed it for too long while he was in pain from no love in return. he gave her his feeling nd all she did was give him a hard time, he gave his life(blood) to heal that person with his own time(money). this girls probably big headed so she shud be kept down, coz wen shes down, she remembers him and feels guilt. deep down she does love him and he loves her too but when its time to leave after being around each other so long and pretending to be friends. living the truthe in the past nd living a lie today, really hes teasing that person coz they both kno the truth thats y a tear drop falls from her eye at the end

incredible song, incredible video, he looks soo fucking passionate.

i think its about someone whom, is waiting for their lover to leave, because the love is slowly dieing out, but part of them wants it to carry on. it's like, 'now we both feel this, lets end it before its too late, before someone gets hurt, now's our chance'.

i think "Another dollar's just another blow" refers to cocaine... or drugs in general, which would then fit with "So fix your eyes and get up".

honestly, i think this is gerard singing to himself from the perspective on an ex. in other words, when he was having drug problems ("good for nothing", "just another blow") and getting into bar fights ("needless beating"), his significant other was trying to help ("i cry so hard from pleading")... he ended up leaving her anyway, but didn't have the guts to admit he no longer loved her.

i'm kind of in the same situation myself (minus the drugs), so maybe i'm reading myself into the song... i owe a lot to my girlfriend, but i've fallen out of love with her and she knows it... we're definitely on the way out, so maybe i should take this song as a sign and be honest with her... although it would seem a lot more graceful just to pull the ol' "it's not you it's me" routine.

Wow everyone has such great ideas what this song is about.

For me it definitely is a song sung from the guys point of view. It seems he's bitter, perhaps even regretful, of the way he's treated his lover or partner. The guy wants to push his lover away because he can't actually face how badly he's treated them. He wants that person to leave him and not look back so he treats them worse and worse so they will stop loving him.

Also I get gist that the album is based on a concept of this person dying, its almost like he wants that person to leave so he doesn't have to watch them hurting as he pretty much decays in front of them. Maybe that person wants to stay with him though because even if he's an a**hole they feel a duty to stand by them - in sickness and health.

Just a theory.

Hide from the sun has the song meaning correct, but I agree with what No One Really said about Hide from the Sun... if that makes sense. :P
And I don't believe this album is poppier, it's just more mature. From my perspective, that is.
And the video is the newest, right? So Gerard dyed his har black again?
He looks older in the video and yes, he looks like he's about to cry. I love Gerard's passion and facial expressions. And I love this song, althought I believe the title is simply "I don't love you" without anything in parenthesis.

Ok ok I was wrong don't kill me plz ;) But I just was pissed of when I heard 12 year old girls talking that gerard is hot and how they wanted to F... with him. Any way I Like the all album though Sleep and I don't love you aren't the best songs to be on the album... But realy I don't love you fits perfectly so it should be on the album I just don't like it being a single that's all...
