this is one my favorite song off the new album im listening to it now i downloaded it off a website for free and so far im diggnig the new stuff i like it more then out of exile but not as good as the self titled album

oh forgot to say first i thought it's Rage (really reminds me of sleep now in the fire). then "be yourself" and finally when solo started "Doesn't Remind Me". MASTERPEICE. i can swear it would be single.

The riff in this song sounds more like the riff in "Show Me How To Live" alot of the riffs on the new album actually sound like riffs on the the other albums "self titled album-Audioslave"--and "out of exile" allwell gr8 song

God I love this song, he has some really great vocals. The chorus is just a badass rhyme.

And of course the meaning is pretty obvious, you can't have love without pain.

Simply put, all love that begins must end one way or the other, and the result of that ending, more often that not, is pain.

Good song, one of my favourites, and definitely something different from Audioslave.

yeah this song is pretty awesome, but so is pretty much every song audioslave makes. but what can you expect when you put together the musical genious of RATM with the second (only to Eddie Vedder) greatest singer of all time.

By the way, i think this song is about betrayal and, what they said up there ^, about how you cant have love without pain.

The lyrics have some mistakes!! The message in this song is pretty clear! If you love there are times you get pain! And be careful who you trust! Especially in the lyrics:
Choose your battles
not your soldiers
You're never sure of their colours, I think he's saying that you should try to reach your goals no matter how you do it because the world today isn't really going to care how you did it! Or maybe that you shouldn't rely on others to help you reach your goals!!!

Giantsfan, I think that when he says that 'blood in rain are one and the same' he means that in rain blood becomes one with water and you can't tell it apart! You can't say which is water and which is blood!
