She has a fear of heights
The way you feel when you're leaving on your first flight
She's like a sinking stone
Fading from the surface, but we are never alone
She's on a tightrope
Losing balance yet something's pulling her towards hope
I want to run to her
But I've already played that card, so I will fight the urge

Eyes closed, fingers crossed
Praying that she's lost

You'll never know what's around the bend
"Avoid the unknown" is ringing in your head

She has a fear of love
Accepting everything but what really dreamed of
She keeps her heart locked
No she won't answer even though she hears a knock
But love is at the door
And after all isn't that what we are here for
I want to run to her
But I've already tried, for there is only one cure

While you rest inside your regret
The sun rises and sets again
You're in your way
That's why you'll always be the same

to me this song is about a girl who is afraid of takeing chances. There is a guy who really likes this girl but she is afraid of what might happen-she doesnt want to be hurt. The guy sees that she is lost and confused but he trys to keep himself from reaching out to her again because he has tried that before and she pushed him away.

i think there is a little bit more to it than that but i pulled that general idea out since i can relate.

It's a girl, that wants the guy, but she's scared he's not the one. She's terrified, that something better is 'around the bend'. Its years later, and time is bringing her back to this same guy. He's telling her to avoid the "unknown" (of some better expectation) that's ringing inside her head. However, she just keeps locking up her heart to his advances, even though she hears love knocking. And he tries to reason with her, don't live in your regret and just watch the sun rise and set again, you should be with me. But she can't realize, that she has no one, because she's in her own way of having true love with this guy.

Anyways, that's my interpretation at least, as I'm living this scenario out right now in my own life.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
