    General Comment:I always thought that this song is about some boy, but I guess the grandpa thing makes more sense.
    I thought that this is about a hard relationship, when you love somebody, but it just doesn't work out and finally you just decide to give up and let go...

    My Interpretation:I always thought it was about suicide. All the explanations make sense.
    Specifically the stanza:
    "With your voice in my head
    I could float here instead,
    But there's a calm under the waves
    So I choose to sink."
    And the final "I let go" just sounds so tragic, like giving up.

    This song is incredible. I love Maria Mena, and I think this might be my favorite of her songs.

    General Comment:i second that...I think that its about letting go but not in the sence of giving up your life, but giving up to feelings, wichever they are..grief, love..just allow yourself to sink into it, dont struggle against it, you´ll get relief once you let yourself drown into the sea that is your feelings..

    buutttt i agree with monden, she talks about how under the waves, theres peace and things that are tempting her, etc. so thenshe says she lets go, and lets the waves cover her. thats like her drowning.

    whatever just think it may be dedicated to he grandfather but its about her drowning herself

    General Comment:okeonie, you just made my night. i assumed this song was about a boy... but that makes even more sense, the dead grandpa. my grandpa just died a few weeks ago and i'm still struggling to get over it.
