    General Comment:I think this song is about a girl who starts off poor working her way through college. She enjoys the simple things, hence the pinball machine, and is headed in the right direction in life, going to school and such, but as the song goes on she loses herself. She may have been poor in the first half but life was good and she was happy, but when she gets a good job she starts getting into drugs and loses that good job. Now she's poor, into drugs and life sucks. Basically, as it says, don't let your income determine your life's outcome. Just because you have a crappy job and are poor, you can be happy with a good life. Same goes with the good job. Just cause you are making money, doesn't mean you won't have problems and life won't suck. No matter how much you make, you decide what you get out of life.

    General Comment:I agree with GalvanizedPeach.
    I love this song.
    My favorite lines are either "We'll drive until tomorrow, drive a mile for all our sorrows" or "Just don't let your life's income determine your life's outcome".
    I've kind of liked Hot Pink better than Teenage Graffiti but this song makes me like the album a whole lot more.

    General Comment:This song is so beautiful. It makes me wanna cry half the time. It's pretty obvious that she addicted to cocaine. But it seems she's trying to quit but can't really seem to get out of the scene. She's starting to get on track with her job and school. Maybe I'm reading really deep into it, but I think it kinda seems like she's a bit of an outcast, looked down upon and stuff. But the guy still likes her and wants to help. Maybe to take her away from all of this.

    I agree with GavanizedPeach, "Just don't let your life's income determine your life's outcome" is my favourite line.

    General Comment:Most definetly one of my favorite songs on their new album. It's softer than some of their songs.

    Meaning is pretty clear, but....

    Jane isn't very rich, she's saving most of her money to go to school. But with what little she has left over, she plays pinball.

    I love the line "Just don't let your life's income determine your life's outcome". Really nice play of words.
