Lyrics for Walk with me in hell as interpreted by blood_junkie

Walk with me in hell Lyrics
Pray for blood
Pray for the cleansing
Pray for the flood
Pray for end of this nightmare
This lie of a life can as quickly as it came dissolve

We seek only reprieve
And welcome the darkness
The myth of a meaning, so lost and forgotten

Take hold of my hand
For you are no longer alone
Walk with me in hell

Pray for solace
Pray for resolve
Pray for a savior
Pray for deliverance
Some kind of purpose, a glimpse of a light in this void of existence

Oh...
Now witness the end of an age
Hope dies in hands of believers
Who seek the truth in the liar's eyes

Take hold of my hand
For you are no longer alone
Walk with me in hell

Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell

Take hold of my hand
For you are no longer alone
Walk with me in hell

Walk with me in hell
Walk with me in hell

You're never alone
You're never alone
You're never alone

You're never alone
You're never alone
Walk with me in hell

1-I think this song is about people who are about to go through rough times and sticking together through the hell that awaits them.

2- The end of times

ok first off, LoG isnt quite metalcore, but i think you could put them in that category cuz they tour with metalcore bands and if they sang even a little, they would be.

Anyways

I think what Randy is saying is, if were going to get sent to hell for living our lives the way we want, or thinking a little differently, then fuck it, walk with me in hell. And your never alone with what you think. Its just a proclomation of his beliefs. Fucking amazing.

Who Gives a rats ass about ppl saying that shit? All I know is that LOG is m favorite band at this point of time, but where would Lamb of God be without the rest of you all? Nowhere, because it takes all of us to get tickets to their shows and buy their albums... And if you know anything about people like that (Truthfully, I've only listened to them for about 8 months now), they're going to change to another band soon, so we will be able to see the real fans easily...

This is the song that I want to be blared at my funeral, and when I finally point a gun to my head and pull the trigger.

i see the lyrics as a direct attempt by the band to line their pockets with the money all you teenagers spend to buy this CD and think that this song is "so cool dood!" this is why lamb of god exists. wake up kiddies. metal is more of a trend then you will ever know.

kemhor, do your family a favor and pull that damn trigger already.

I think the song is LOG's response to the way they were kicked out of that tour venue three years ago because their old bandname. It's essentially a metaphor for the band touring. "Walk with me in hell" being "Come and see our shows, regardless of what fundamentalist Christians may say about our music." Meanwhile, the "liars" they refer to are probably the club that kicked them out, and how a lot of people (the "believers") will use that to justify LOG being an "evil band you shouldn't listen to."

Randy Blythe himself said in late-2005 that, aside from this one incident, he doesn't have anything against religion. So I can't really imagine this song actually attacking religion itself.

When Randy says, "Pray for this, pray for that." I don't think he's really sying it in a mean or condescending way. I think he's simply refering to common people following faith, and then they have to be assaulted by extremists like those who kicked LOG out of their venu for their old bandname.

Randy Blythe actually explained the meaning of this song at a show i went to..... He sees his life as a living hell and its for the people who are in his everyday life.

The breakdown in this song is incredible. I love how they just strip the riff down to its purest form, and then build it back up again.

What this song meanings to me is that people hold on to religion for a guidance and grasp of a hope (ex. Bible, Koran, Bagavad Gita) how can these books be true? For years stories get told and things get added to the story for better narrating. Maybe we are really living in hell and this life is judged on character. Maybe we get reincarnated to live back on earth in Hell.

DEFFINETLY about christianity

"Now witness the end of an age
Hope dies in hands of believers
Who seek the truth in the liar's eyes"

I think it may also be about the supposed apocalypse or end of days, whatever you wanna call it from the bible

And he seems to be saying to me that even if all this bullshit is true, you will still have people by your side in their so called hell
You will NEVER be left behind contrary to what christians belive

Just what I got out of the song

This song can be summed up in just a couple of its lines:

1) "Pray for deliverance. Some kind of purpose, a glimpse of a light in this void of existence."
2) "Take hold of my hand. For you are no longer alone, walk with me in hell."

It's about people trying to find a purpose to their existence and turning to religion for "answers" and, subconciously, comfort. When the reality is that no one can know forsure what our purpose is or happens when we die. They can take the comforting hand of religion to help them get through this hell we are all living in.

Great fucking song. But yes, it is about an individual whose life is a living hell, with no true friends, only false ones who constantly drag him down into misery ("Take hold of my hand, walk with me in hell"), and who prays that all the shit will be put to an end.

I wish the rest of Sacrament could have been like this song. This is pretty much the only song I really like off the album.

this song is my favourite off sacrament. i think this song is a statement about how people ignore pain and suffering and live in their own little world, they follow liars and false hope in order to find happiness because they are afraid of seeing things for what they really are. this song is basically randy saying open your eyes and see things the way he does, join him in the hell around us and don't fear it because you're not alone

This song and band is great, for the meaning I don't know...Blythe said something about the destruction of codependency, but it sounds like it's aimed at religion, which I'm a Christian, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to listen to the best kinds of music. I'm not the kind that forces it on everyone and anyone, because that's what gives Christianity a bad name. Anyway, awesome band, still, I like "Pathetic" the best.
