    General Comment:I was in a "relationship" with someone who is with someone else now. He keeps telling me he is missing me, but he only calls me when he's drunk. You never call me when you're sober... if you loved me, you would be here with me, if you want me, come find me, you have to make up your mind.
    Exactly! But apparently he is only missing me when he's drunk and when he isn't he prefers his actual girlfriend to me.
    YOU HAVE TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND! But I already did it for you, I don't want to be with a coward who just think he loves me when he's drunk.

    General Comment:Ok here is my very first posting on this site.... It's funny that there are comments about what some people think this song is about, i.e., drunk bf or husband. It's very much about Shaun Morgan from Seether. I love Seether and Evanescence and it's too bad the relationship between Shaun and Amy failed, because they made a powerhouse duo on "Broken"! I would love to hear more of them together on some rocking songs. She has that Ann Wilson power voice and he has a voice that convey deep emotions with his lyrics. The timing of the release of the song however, was in poor taste. I feel bad for Shaun for the public humility it may have caused him, especially when he was getting help. However, Amy, was most likely suffering from a broken relationship too and what does any great writer/singer do to overcome their pain, they write about it. Men and women hurt each other during or after a breakup to make themselves feel better and this couple was in the spotlight.

    General Comment:this made me angry at amy and feel bad for shaun. when something like that happens between you and another person you dont just go off and wrie a song that makes the other person sound bad.people get addicted to drugs. it happens. shaun went and got help. she could've stood by him and helped him kick the addiction. once your addicted to something you can't just go and say im done then never even think about doing drugs again. its hard to kick them and her breaking up with him and writing this song probably made him feel worse.

    My Interpretation:I think Call Me When You're Sober is about a married couple where the husband is an alcoholic. The wife loves him and has tried to help him. She's sent him to rehab, Alcoholics Anonymous, countless therapists, she's tried everything in the book, but he just can't seem to stop drinking. Eventually, the wife just can't stand it anymore, and runs off while he's at the bar one night. She leaves a note by the phone with her number, saying "Call me when you're sober" - because even though she hates her husband's drinking, she is still in love with him.
