This song I think is about a person who feels like spiritually there dead and that there life is meaningless and then they get saved and they live for God and jesus now it's a great christian rock song

Yeah I agree. The song is awesome, and I like how John and Korey mix their voices. Can't wait for the album to come out. For what I've heard by now, seems it's gonna be a real blast. :)

Yep, You guys are all spot on the dot. The song has so much meaning behide it. Its awesome how John and Korey mix there voices together. It just puts the cherry on the top of the song.

I love this song. A friend of mine likes this band and she showed it to me. Wow it's rly good. It pulls you in and causes ur heart to beat faster and faster until the song is over. They r a great example of a good christian band.

I could listen to the beginning 100 times and it still amazes me. The passion of the violins against the guiatar is amazing! Anyways, good song. It's really about being born again; most would say being born again of God but this song is kind of romantic. The love from someone can really give rebirth. You know, struggling and someone loving you enough to help you through, or just love in general.

Its a christian rock genre... Meaning that being "rebirthed" again is being born again, under the name of lord. I am not religious lol, so I hardly know anything about that kind of stuff.

"Breathe for the first time now; I came alive somehow." This is probably referring to being born again, and though this is impossible, they could be meaning starting a new life; starting afresh. Hence the title rebirthing - starting over again.

Eh, I'm not into the whole Christian theme of this song, not being religious at all, and being raised by two parents who aren't religious either, one being Roman Catholic, the other being Jewish, I think if I were to become religious, I'd choose Judaism. But anyway, that doesn't matter... this song is amazing as far as the way the guitar kicks in during the beginning. My friend figured out how to time it perfectly and play it during the opening cinematic of GRAW 2, and that was the first experience I have hearing this song, because I hadn't heard of Skillet before hanging out with him. It's amazing during the combat scene, and as soon as CPT Mitchell is knocked off his feet from an explosion, the first verse kicks in and he says "I lie here, paralytic" and his squad member drags him away and he gets back up to his feet. All I have to say is it's pretty awesome to hear during the opening cinematic of GRAW 2. And for those of you who don't play games, it's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2. It's a near-future special forces typed game.

It could be about a person that is about or has already died and is coming alive again in the eyes of christ (Breathe for the first time now
I came alive somehow) this kinda makes me think that when you die the breath of christ will come in you and you will feel more alive than you ever have before. Great song, Rock on Skillet!

i understand that skillet is a christian band. and im a christian. and im not into the whole listening to nothing but christian music. neither of my parents raised me around christ but anyway. this song doesn't only have to have the meaning of God making you feel alive again because you found him. it may be a sin in most christian peoples eyes, but every song has many different meanings. and he is probably singing about God. but in my opinion. i think that this song is but about finding SOMEONE or SOMETHING that just makes you feel so amazing that you are "high" on them. And you feel like you are fearless. and alive again
