  General Comment:I THINK THIS IS A SONG ABOUT SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO DIE ( I WANNA BREAK OUT ). THIS PERSON IS STILL SURPRISED ( I DONT BELIEVE ITS GONNA BE THAT WAY ) HE DOESNT BELIEVE THAT THE ONLY WAY OUT IS DEATH.

  General Comment:The music in this song is a really powerful expression of the songwriters emotions. performing it tomorrow, so i thought i'd check out this songmeanings thing. I think it basically talks about the freshness of starting on a clean slate, which is something that God offers for sure. Considering that they are a gospel band (i think) thats obviously what the meaning of the song is!

  General Comment:This is a great song by a great band that I didn't even realize was Christian rock until I got to really listen to the lyrics. I may not be a practicing man of religion, but I still love this band and their music, they rock my proverbial socks off.

  General Comment:i think it could actually be about jesus being resurrected since they are a christian band
  or not
  otherwise just feeling like life is terrible and there's no dawn, completely destroyed by pain or something. heres the story i put with it
  
  a guy has made a great sacrifice and is now undergoing a painful transformation into some kind of superhuman creature but the process is very long and painful and he doesn't know if he'll survive it and fight on-fantasy epic

  he's trapped inside himself defenceless against the forces trying to destroy who he is
  'screaming for you till my throat is numb'
  calling out for God or just someone he lives doest matter, for help
  'i gotta break out, i need a way out, i don't believe that it's gotta be this way'
  he can't take it any more, he's sure there was another way of saving whoever he sacrificed himself for and nothing was worth this it's like the hero's denial stage
  'the worst is the waiting in this womb im suffocating'
  he thinks the transformation is going to kill him

  someones reaching out to him and helping him survive the ordeal
  'i've died'
  hes remembering the moment of his sacrifice

  he returns to the one he loves

  they meet and they're both rejuvenated by his life next part is pretty much the same
  'i lie here lifeless in this cocoon shedding my skin cause im ready to'
  back to his transformation, the moment he really changes into something stronger, decides he can go on
  ' i wanna break out, i found a way out, i don'tbelieve that its gotta be this way'
  ok he gets out of there, same as before

  he calls out to his love in his mind
  'tell me when im gonna feel inside tell me when im gonna feel alive'
  they call back, tell him to keep fighting cos they need him
  
  the hero survives the transformation and returns to life-that's why it could mean Jesus Christ. or just someone like anakin skywalker

  General Comment:Skillet RULES. Even though Lori Peters trained Jen Ledger sometime in her christmas break and Lori's Last show before she took a break which is New Year's Eve in 2007. Anyway, THIS SONG ROCKS!!!
