It's over, look out below
I'm wasted, I still taste it
Yeah it's so hard to let go
So breathe in now, and breathe it out

The forecast, A car crash
It's looking like another

Breakdown, rebound
This could be my last goodbye
You cross your heart, I hope to die

[Chorus]
And I can't deny your eyes
You know I try to read between the lines,
I saw a warning sign
And then you threw me up against the wall
Who said that it's better to have loved and lost?
I wish that I had never loved at all

No rewinds, no second times
And I won't break, I won't waste
Everything you left behind
So don't follow, just let it go
The weather's been better
Don't let it be another

Breakdown, rebound
This could be my last goodbye
You cross your heart, I hope to die

[Chorus]

All the nights spent sitting at home
When you were out there on your own
All the nights waited by the phone
When you were going in alone
And all your different faces
And all your different ways
Are making everything a mess
And all I'm saying is that
I have different places and
All the complications led to this

[Chorus: x2]

General Comment:I see it like this:

    "It's over
    Look out below
    And I'm wasted
    I still taste it
Yeah it's so hard to let go
    So breathe in now
    And breathe it out"

Still being oviously intoxicated with your love for someone that you are trying to let go of, but its hard

    "The forecast
    A car crash
    It's looking like another...
    Breakdown, rebound
This could be my last goodbye
You cross your heart, I hope to die"

You know its not going well you can see another 'breakdown' and 'rebound'
which is oyu running back to htem even tho you need ot get over them.
you want this to be your last goodbye

"And I can't deny your eyes
You know I try to read between the lines
    I saw a warning sign
And then you threw me up against the wall
Who said that it's better to have loved and lost?
I wish that I had never loved at all"

This person can just trap you by there eyes, but you knew from the begining this wouldn't work out you sa the bad signs but then they ' threw you against the wall' by doing something that made you forget the bad things you knew and fall for them thinking this could work out

    "No rewinds
    No second times
    And I won't break
I won't waste, everything you left behind"

nopging back, yopu arnt going to breakdown you know you are better than them and you dont want to waste your potential. What they couldnt see in you.

    "So don't follow
    Just let it go
    The weather's, been better
    Don't let it be another..."

just leave you alone, because things are getting better

And I can't deny your eyes

"All the nights you spent sitting nowhere out there on your own
All the nights I waited by the phone when you were going in alone"

    showing they never really cared

"And all your different faces and all your different ways are making everything a mess
And all I'm saying is that all your different places and all the complications led to this"

showing how compilicated they were. they wern't to serious with you because of the other people they had in t here life 'other faces and complications'

    yea my interpretation :]
so it may not even be a break up just being horribly led on, like how i was

General Comment:What i think is this: He gets together with a girl who promises she'd never cheat on him. Then he starts noticing signs that she might be cheating and then one day he finds out that she did/is cheating. Then he drinks to ease the pain because he loves her so much. And he hooks up with girls to try to get over her. And he wishes he never loved her because of all the stuff she put him through.

General Comment:I really don't think this song is about a break up at all.
It really seems more like its about a guy that has been completely in love with this girl but she was with someone else. And any time she'd break up with that someone else she'd come to him for a rebound. He hated it but he'd just go right along with it because he was just too in love..

Song Meaning:I agree that this is a breakup song.
I think that this song is about how this guy was in love with a girl and they broke up. Their break up really hurt him, and he didn't see it coming; hence the phrase "you threw me up against the wall". She wanted him back and "crossed her heart" that she wouldn't cheat or whatever this time, and he couldn't "deny her eyes" so he took her back. So they got back together, and he "tried to read between the lines" and see through her this time to see if she had some sort of ulterior motive. But she hurt him again. Which is why he said, "it's looking like another breakdown, rebound". He realizes that there are "no rewinds, no second times" and that he shouldn't have taken her back, knowing she could hurt him again.

My Interpretation:I think it might be about a cheating girlfriend that hes trying to forget ("its so hard to let go") (and not succeding too well at it). "You cross your heart I hope to die" you broke your promise and it killed me. It still hurts ("dont let it be another breakdown") "All the nights spent sitting at home when YOU WERE OUT THERE ON YOUR OWN all the nights waited by the phone when you were going in ALONE and all your different faces And all your different ways of making everything a mess and all I'm saying is that all your different places and All the complications laid to rest." That kind of goes away with the "I saw a warning sign" in the chorus. He saw it coming but didnt want to believe it. She was always out leaving him alone. He's heartbroken but he's going to try to continue with his life ("i wont waste, i wont break everything you left behind") because she's dead to him now ("all your different places and all the complications laid to rest")

General Comment:i think this song has a lot of meanings.

    "It's over, look out below
I'm wasted, I still taste it
Yeah it's so hard to let go
So breathe in now, and breathe it out"
    - i think this is talking about a guy who got dumped and cant let go easily

    "The forecast; A car crash"
    - i think this could be talking about two things. 1) suicidal thoughts? 2)his life is going all out of control, his future is like a car crash, awful and painful.

    "Breakdown, rebound
This could be my last goodbye
You cross your heart, I hope to die"
    - hes having a breakdown, needs a rebound. hes thinking hes done, and she promises that its over but he cant handle it.

And I can't deny your eyes
You know I try to read between the lines,
    I saw a warning sign
And then you threw me up against the wall
Who said that it's better to have loved and lost?
I wish that I had never loved at all
    - he cant deny her, he loves her, but looks into everything she says by reading between the lines, which could have led her to dump him in the first place. he knew it would happen, but then she threw him up against a wall which means 1)came from out of nowhere like people said before or 2)they hooked up and he forgot about the breaking up part. but now he regrets it all.

    No rewinds, no second times
    And I won't break, I won't waste
    Everything you left behind
So don't follow, just let it go
    The weather's been better
    Don't let it be another
-they sort of switched places. hes saying no more, hes done. and she needs to get over it. times have been better, but it doesnt matter. he wont go back to before.

All the nights spent sitting at home
When you were out there on your own
All the nights waited by the phone
When you were going in alone
    And all your different faces
    And all your different ways
    Are making everything a mess
And all I'm saying is that
    I have different places and
All the complications led to this
    - shes a liar, and she goes out without him and cheats and its her fault

My Interpretation:When I first listened to this song I always imagined it from the point of view of a girl who has ended or really wants to end an abusive relationship...I know that's definitely not what the song was about, but that's what I heard...
Probably because I took the "threw me up against the wall" part literally. The line about a warning sign made me think of an abusive relationship as well.

Please don't yell at me. I know I'm wrong. It's just how I originally interpreted it. XD
