Lyrics for Calm Before the Storm (Evening Out With ... as interpreted by Last Action Hero

Calm Before the Storm (Evening Out With ... Lyrics
Sat outside my front window
This story's going somewhere
"He's well hung"
And I am hanging up
Well, there's a song on the radio that says:
"Let's get this party started...
Let's get this party started"

What you do on your own time's just fine
My imagination's much worse
I just never want to know
And what meant the world imploded, Inflated, then demoted all my oxygen to product gas
And suffocated my last chance

You said
Between your smiles and regrets
"Don't say it's over"
Dead and gone

The calm before the storm set it off
And the sun burnt out tonight
Reception less than warm set it off
And the sun burnt out tonight.

The next time, the phone can wring my neck
It gets no answer
And of the time that I've spent telling it my roots
I'm shaking in my boots
But still it looks at me like an old friend I've betrayed
The dark side of the doormat is the one your shoes have frayed

What you do on your own time's just fine
My imagination's much worse
I just never want to know
And what meant the world imploded, Inflated, then demoted all my oxygen to product gas
And suffocated my last chance

You said
Between your smiles and regrets
"Don't say it's over"
Dead and gone

The calm before the storm set it off
And the sun burnt out tonight
Reception less than warm set it off
And the sun burnt out tonight.

(Woo!)

The calm before the storm set it off
And the sun burnt out tonight
Reception less than warm set it off
And the sun burnt out tonight.

The sun burnt out tonight.

ok so this song starts out the same but has a different ending... any ways i like patrick singing this song alot! how ever i really like this version too. pete does a very good job of singing it. its kinda cool to here the part where both pete and patrick sing in both this version and the take this to your grave version are almost like the same sounding.

This song is typical old fall out boy. It makes me smile because I almost forgot this stuff still exists. And it's pure. No expectatopm-type-pure.

It's about a failed relationship, her cheating, and the girl wanting him back. That's all. Read the lyrics.

EOWYG had other bands on it, like Project Rocket and The Kill Pill, so they did some singing too. =|

I think its about a boy trying to get a girl back, but shes not interested And when he says "the sun burnt out tonight" , It means hes had his last chance.

I agree that their old stuff kicked butt..
Not to say that they aren't good now...
and i am pretty sure that Patrick sings on all the CDs
I have all of them and i KNOW they have to be Patrick. I know Pete may be hot but come on lets give Patrick the recognition he deserves....

Hey guys, your forgeting somthing here!

Patrick hasn't always been the leadsinger. On EOWYGF, there were two other guys, named T.J. Raccine and "Mike". Is it possible that TJ or mike is singing this?
I believe it is.

Anyway, the song (amazing, btw) I think is about
a girl having cheated on him, and he dont want her back.

"You said
Between your smiles and regrets
"Don't say it's over"
Dead and gone"

But that's just a thought.
