I heard you driving in my car
Then in a frozen bar
And I claimed I didn't care for you
But your verse got trapped inside my head
Over and over again
You played yourself to death in me
I thought I'd drop you easily
But that was not to be
You burrowed like a summer tic
So you invade my sleep and confuse my dreams
Turn my nights to sleepless itch
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
I'm too tired to fight your rhyme
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
you've got me paralyzed
Holding on the telephone
I hear your midrange moan
You're everywhere inside my room
Even when I'm alone I hear your mellow drone
You're everywhere inside of me
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
I'm too tired to fight your rhyme
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
You got me trapped inside
I can't escape your incessant whine
When you beam it out all across the sky
No I can't escape
(stuck on you 'till the end of time)
your insipid rhyme
(I'm too tired to fight your rhyme)
When you shoot it deep
(stuck on you 'till the end of time)
Straight into my mind
Then in a frozen bar
And I claimed I didn't care for you
But your verse got trapped inside my head
Over and over again
You played yourself to death in me
I thought I'd drop you easily
But that was not to be
You burrowed like a summer tic
So you invade my sleep and confuse my dreams
Turn my nights to sleepless itch
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
I'm too tired to fight your rhyme
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
you've got me paralyzed
Holding on the telephone
I hear your midrange moan
You're everywhere inside my room
Even when I'm alone I hear your mellow drone
You're everywhere inside of me
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
I'm too tired to fight your rhyme
Stuck on you 'till the end of time
You got me trapped inside
I can't escape your incessant whine
When you beam it out all across the sky
No I can't escape
(stuck on you 'till the end of time)
your insipid rhyme
(I'm too tired to fight your rhyme)
When you shoot it deep
(stuck on you 'till the end of time)
Straight into my mind

1. this song is about a person who does not like the person their with but they cant let go. they feel stuck and they feel that no one can love them anymore because their in this mess. you wanna let go, but you don't want to suffer, and you don't want that other person to suffer so you just deal with it.
2. its about a person with drug abuse. your so addicted that its like a song that you cannot stop singing all day long. you want to quit, but you don't know how first of all, and don't want to second of all. you lost all hope, so why even try stopping now, when your so close to death. you will either end up dying, or you will caught. but you don't think this right now, but sin will catch up to you. and when you do get caught, the truth will set you free.
"You're everywhere inside of me" - couldn't be worded any better
i take no credit for other's thoughts, just saying.
It's about "insipid rhyme" and "play[ing] yourself to death in me", right? How could it not be about a song that got stuck in someone's head? It's happened to me before and I end up giving in, downloading the song and playing it over and over and over until I'm sick of it.
Even if the original song was about someone's heroine addiction, I don't think the lyrics imply it.
And it's not about relationships either. That doesn't make sense through the whole song. Parts, yes. But not all the way through.
It's 3 metaphors in one song. It's a metaphor of a song getting stuck in your head that is also used to describe a failed relationship (or possibly having a crush on someone?), but also, if you looked deeper into the song, you'd see that it's also a metaphor for a drug addiction.
Ken Andrews (the lead singer of failure..the band who originally did this song) had some drug issues, and used his music to talk about alot of his problems (see: Dirty Blue Balloons, The Nurse Who Loved Me, etc.).
