Soft Parrlet breaking
Lost in aisles of white
Corridoes are shaking
And I can see the Light
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Please release me
I can barley breathe
I watch the ground beneath me
No more the want to be
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Don't fall we could have had it all
Another breath you're taking
Slow rise your love is suicide
This heart is slowly breaking
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone to arrive
Waiting for something
Waiting for this day to arrive
Your hands upon me never give away
Temptation haunts you
Your hand upon me never give away
Its walks besides me always
Besides me always
Besides me always
They're calling you from heaven
To walk towards the light
Hey wait this time it's not too late
To stop this ship from sinking
Don't go so much you didn't know
It's never what you're thinking
I've waited for something
Waited for someone to arrive
I've waited for something
Waited for this day to arrive
Your hands upon me never give away
Temptation haunts you
Your hands upon me never give away
I've waited for something
Lost in aisles of white
Corridoes are shaking
And I can see the Light
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Please release me
I can barley breathe
I watch the ground beneath me
No more the want to be
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone
Don't fall we could have had it all
Another breath you're taking
Slow rise your love is suicide
This heart is slowly breaking
Waiting for something
Waiting for someone to arrive
Waiting for something
Waiting for this day to arrive
Your hands upon me never give away
Temptation haunts you
Your hand upon me never give away
Its walks besides me always
Besides me always
Besides me always
They're calling you from heaven
To walk towards the light
Hey wait this time it's not too late
To stop this ship from sinking
Don't go so much you didn't know
It's never what you're thinking
I've waited for something
Waited for someone to arrive
I've waited for something
Waited for this day to arrive
Your hands upon me never give away
Temptation haunts you
Your hands upon me never give away
I've waited for something

Think of the song name, aisles of white, if you were in a completely white room full of pure white aisles you wouldn't be able to tell where the aisles are, you would keep bumping into them. It's a really intelligent take on flying blind, in one way it has juxtaposition in that instead of stumbling around in the dark (black) you are in a pure white room, nothing is restricting your eyesight but your own perception, so it is exactly the same.
I'll just analyze a few paragraphs to show you what I mean
"Don't fall we could have had it all
Another breath your taking
Slow rise your love is suicide
This heart is slowly breaking"
He is telling himself that the love he is with is perfect, he would happily live his life with this person (We could have had it all) But he is feeling suffocated by this person's love, at the same time feeling immensity guilty that he is having feeling with another woman. The situation is causing him emotional pain.
"They're calling me from heaven
To walk towards the light"
This could easily be thought as the afterlife calling for him, but I think it's a reference to his conscious telling him to do the right thing (You do the right thing, you will be rewarded)
"Hey wait this time it's not too late
To stop this ship from sinking
Don't go so much you didn't know
It's never what you're thinking"
This is a hard one, has he gone and stuffed his relationship, then told himself 'it's not too late' to get with the other woman, he would not loose everything. He stops the other woman from getting away and spills his guts about how he fells about her. With a sinister ending that implies that he gets with this new woman and begins eyeing off other women, but telling his new love that her suspicions have no ground.
Another possibility is that he stops himself from going to this other person, and stops this relationship falling apart. In the last moments he admits that he felt this way about another woman before his love leaves him, but assures her that nothing ever happened between them, it wasn't what she was thinking.
"I've waited for something
Waited for someone to arrive
I've waited for something
Waited for this day to arrive"
Again this could support the other theoretical branches of the story, he waited for the day to arrive that he would find one love, and he found something else, something that would stop him searching for another woman. Or maybe he is looking back on how he searched for someone else for so long, until the day came he realized that he had her all along, then stuffed it, he knew the day was coming when everything would fall apart, so perhaps in this case he was waiting with apprehension
i get an inkling that what the person in the song wants is a girl. this girl is might be going through some kind of trauma, & she is acting unlike her normal self because of it. she's in so much pain that she is hurting emotionally him too. but as much pain as she's put him through, he's willing to stick by her through this 'rough patch', because he cares about her that much.
the stanza beginning 'your hands upon me..' may be the girl's sway/control over him, or her self-destructive thoughts. or maybe it's about their physical relationship: they've come close to having sex, but for some reason she stops herself..(maybe she was sexually abused?.. maybe looking too much into it.)
in the last few stanzas, he might have said or done something in the heat of the moment that hurt her, & she's finally cracked, & he's trying to plead with her to stay. it seems this girl has little or no hope (for their relationship, or her exsistance), & he is the one always (trying to) picking her up again.
what is he waiting for? possibly for the girl to return to her normal self...so the relationship can prosper.
really love this song. TBE be rad.
"Hey wait this time it's not too late
To stop this ship from sinking
Don't go so much you didn't know
It's never what you're thinking"
But from the lyrics I think what he was waiting for finally happened...
"I've waited for something
Waited for someone to arrive
I've waited for something
Waited for this day to arrive"
The song doesn't really describe exactly what that he wants, but I spose that is for us to intemperate ourselves.
great song.
