I have seen the rain
I have felt the pain
I don't know where I'll be tomorrow
I don't know where I'm going
I don't even know where I've been
But I know I'd like to see them again

[Chorus]
Spend my days just searching
Spend my nights in dreams
Stop looking over my shoulder baby
I stopped wondering what it means.
Drop out, burn out, sold your home
Oh they said I should've been more
Probably so if I hadn't been in that crazy damn Vietnam war

I have seen the rain
I've survived the pain
Oh I've been home 30 years or so
And I'm just stepping off of the plane

[Chorus]

We have seen the rain together
We survived the pain forever
Oh it's good to be home again
It's good to be with my friends
Oh it's good to be home again
It's good to feel that rain

General Comment:This is going down on my list of my favourite songs ever, it's really beautiful. Pink and her dad should be incredibly proud of this.

General Comment:yeah, ilikeGOODmusic23002, the plane one makes more sense, but maybe someone has proof of their lyrics? idk. He is probably looking to the future, like people sometimes do in songwriting, when he says he's been home 30 years. It's probably better like that, because it adds more of a story to it and even more power.

General Comment:I thought it was 'and I'm just stepping off of the plane' not 'I'm just stepping up for the blame.'

Also, if he wrote it while he was there how come he says, 'I've been home 30 years or so'?

General Comment:This has meaning to anyone who knows of someone who was in the Vietnam War. Like, my uncle served in it and died. It's sad to hear "It's good to be with my friends, it's good to be home again" when that never happened for him. However, this gives you a glimpse at how soldiers feel because Pink's dad wrote this while he was serving in Vietnam.

General Comment:This song is so great, although it's not actually Pink singing the lead, it's still really brilliant!
It feels like Pink to me because it's another issue that she's trying to show us, it's less blatant as her other songs like 'dear mr president' showing me it means alot to her personally. I also think the way she has to explain this song to us before it starts illustrates this.
    Pink you rule!
sad song (-_-) but still kwl (^_^)!!

General Comment:Amazing Song.. Written By Her Dad... Performed With Her Dad, With Pink Doing The Harmonising Rather Than The Lead.

Pink Personalises The Song At The Begining Explaining Why And When Her Dad Wrote I. I Think This Makes The Song As We Can See It Is Very Personal To Her.

The Song Seems To Be Based On The the Vietnam War Whilst Making Another Subtle Dig At The American Government.

    Gooood Emotional Song
    =)
