    General Comment:For me this song is my very situation. I fell for a guy whose a lot older than I and in a different stage in his life to me. We became very close over the past 6months. But different circumstances kept us just being a fling. Hes decided he can't do it anymore and has to leave cities from me. So this song has so much meaning to me. I can feel so much emotion and truth in it. It's beautifully, sadly, perfect in every single way.

    My Interpretation:I will reflect all the other comments to say this song needs no explanation, but as I have with my other comments, I comment on songs that are pertinent to me. I have an ex who I will probably always have feelings for, and though he has a girlfriend he admits he will always have feelings for me. We meet occasionally to try to maintain a friendship, but struggle with emotions, knowing that nothing can happen and it is going nowhere, but wanting to have one last night just being together to remember how it used to be so long ago in another life.

    My Interpretation:I know that this is about a break up, but for me I see it as something for the guy who always see's me as invisible. Yeah we are good friends, but he will never see me like that, unlike me - I have liked him for 2 years now, I just can't move on from him for some reason. Recently we have drifted apart a bit but we're growing closer again, despite the fact that we are moving away to university.

    'Sure I can accept we're going nowhere, but one last time lets go there.' - I know we won't be together now but I still want to hope that before we leave, we'll have a 'moment'. I had lost hope until last week, when we started talking again; its given me hope for one last time.

    'I just want you closer, is that alright?' whilst we are friends, I think I'll probably always want that little bit more, despite that I can't tell him that; I would hate to lose him as a friend.

    My Opinion:This song literally takes my breath away. The music video does even more so... I highly recommend everyone watch it. It's such a stunning composition - both the song and the video. He perfectly describes the feelings of wanting to hold things in a relationship together.

    Song Meaning:He wants to end the relationship the way it started, with meaning and love and warmth. He ultimately wishes it didn't have to end but it's clearly just a lost battle and holding someone you love for the last time, leaves a beautiful memory and you try to forget all the bad that's gone on and just remember the love you have for each other.

    My Opinion:this song is the exact situiation am in, about this boy who i like and we kind of dated not seriuous, "Oh, I've found, that I'm bound
    To wander down that one way road And I realise all about your lies" now i have found out about all the lies hes kept from me, "But I'm no wiser than the fool that I was before" and i still kept going backsex or not i still want him,:|
    but i want it to work even though i know it wont so i keep on wanting one more bit. just one last request as it says,
    it actually makes me want to cry, his voice is so brilliant. and him all in general
    oh and also simon daysh gtf im sure there is plenty of great scottish folk, infact i know there is :)
