March on, worker bees!
Know your enemy!

We take our orders given by the queen
We're not the killers, we're the worker bees
If you resist us you will feel our sting
Surrender now before the swarm sets in

Protect the hive from enemies!
Protect the hive from enemies!
Follow the herd mentality!
Can we fight to save our souls?

March on, worker bees!
Know your enemy!

A pollination coming from the west,
And in a flash we will invade your nest
Supply of honey flowing bottomless
Play by our rules or you'll be powerless

Protect the hive from enemies!
Protect the hive from enemies!
Follow the herd mentality!
Can we fight to save our souls?

And we'll march... along, with our blindfolds on
And we'll ride... the rails, with our pistols drawn
Can the Lord... above, forgive what we've done?
Can we fight to save our souls?

And we'll march... along, with our blindfolds on
And we'll ride... the rails, with our pistols drawn
Can the Lord... above, forgive what we've done?
Can we fight to save our souls?

Can we fight to save our souls?
Will we die to save our home?

-America is coming to invade your country, and bringing their culture with them. (Just look how much the West has influenced all other regions of the world. Hell, we've even gotten tribal regions deep in Brazil to start wearing T-shirts with brand names they have never heard of.)
-We WILL infiltrate your government. (No one really takes notice to how the US just marches into countries, and starts forcing them to run the place how they see fit. "We're just doing it, for the betterment of the world".)
-We WILL take your resources, like it or not. (Playing on the line above, no one really noticed the majority of the time in Iraq was collecting oil, instead of looking for "the most wanted man in the world". The "Terrorist, and insurgents" they were fighting over there, were probably people just trying to stop the US from stealing their resources.)
-Play by our rules or you'll be powerless (The last line is pretty self-explanatory. Do what we say, or we demonize your country, and people.)

I really like this song. Because it talks about how the citizens of America, are so arrogant to see how their country is effecting the rest of the world. We believe what the "Power That Be" say, and follow their word like sheep to the military slaughter. The News has shaped our views on the world. We are bombarded with reports of how terrorist have killed our people in a suicide attack, or that 4 soldiers died in an IED. Yet we never hear about who many civilians were killed in a necessary carpet bombing to get one person in a shack at the heart of a small village. Or the house that were raided late at night for fun, and the people that were killed in the xfire of excitement. Why because it would decrease faith in the government, and open the eyes of the public, and no one will want to sign up to fight for "freedom".

    As the song states:

And we'll march... along, with our blindfolds on
And we'll ride... the rails, with our pistols drawn
Can the Lord... above, forgive what we've done?
Can we fight to save our souls?

Are the people going to wake up, before it is too late?

Thats what I got out of the song atleast.

General Comment:It could be about the German soldiers and people in Nazi-Germany at the time of WWII.
It's about how they follow their leader blindly and afterwards try to reject their responsibility and act like it's not their fault, they're just the worker bees following orders.

But there are indeed some other clues that might point to the whole USA - Middle East thing.

Song Meaning:this song is about the U.S. Army. they arent killers they are just doing there job. they dont do this because they want to, they were given the order from the " Queen Bee" [ the 'Queen Bee' in the song is like the comander of president in real life ] they made the song because of what the russian and german army, as along with china, were saying to the general public about the U.S.A.A. Billy Talent realized that what they were saying was false, so they made this song to, in a 3rd person kind of way, explain what the U.S.A.A. is really doing.

General Comment:see now i agree with many other people saything that the song is related to the u.s invasion of iraq but i also think it has ties to how people make rash decisions on what they do, also how people do things they are told without thinking. Mostly how someone would do anything to save what they love,
"were not the killers, we're the working bee's" meaning they are sent out on something that then were never bread to do, things that other ppl are trained for.
    that is all

General Comment:I love Mini-Me! But of course, I'm talking about the Austin Powers/Dr. Evil version.

Sorry, this comment was really unnecessary.

General Comment:i saw billy talent live last night, and the opening bass line of this song played for about a minute while Ben ranted on about how this song is about "georgy-porgy" up in the U.S.. but then he mentioned that we have a mini-me in Canada by the name of Stephen Harper.. he then advised the Canadian citizens to "keep your eye on that motherfucker" before finally smashing into this amazing song.

General Comment:Yes the world screwed up, and we better start fixing it, because no one will take the time to pick up the pieces. Good thing there's a lot of things now-a-days to help out the earth.

General Comment:Generally I agree with what's being said here. i think it's saying that countries, not just America, are so bent on fighting for freedom, and at the end wonder if after all the death and destruction was worth it. It's posing the question, "Can we be resposible for all the pain we've caused if we didn't mean to cause it?" and I think the obvious answer based on the tone of the song is, yes we screwed up.

General Comment:I have to agree witht he war comments. Of course the song could also be about how western society in general is invading the middle east (Western society being countries like the US, Canada, the UK etc.) because in the middle east they don't really differenciate between those countries, but the song is probably mostly about pointless wars
