Amber (English) Lyrics
The spring breeze makes the uneasy sound as my dreams
crumble and my future breaks. I have no more...... I want to be with you more. I want to be near you. I try to hide my weak tears behind a smile, but I can't hide anymore. My years of dreaming, at the end, will my true self be there? I tried so hard to bear with it. I even put out my hand. But what it all comes down to was now; we're in hell under his control. So this is the end I tell you, Lights will be turned off and the stage turned to darkness. Let me hear your voice more. I still want to be here. Goodbye to an anonymous girl I loved from my heart. I remember the promise we made, by the spring breeze I felt in my back. My tears mix with blood, and it brings to life my new dream in my heart. Until our voices go out, at last. Let's sing until our voices go out.

Towards the middle of the song or w/e, the line "We're in hell under him" is said like in a whisper, coorect? If this is about his ex-fiance what the hell does that have to do with anything?! @_@

I can't even begin to speculate what this song is about... I'm honestly too stricken by the translation. Again and again, Kyo's lyrics never fail to impress me or leave me in a state near tears.
and yes, his performance of this on 'Code of Vulgar[ism]' is AMAZING. That whole DVD was fantastic.

This is about a fan, or multiple fans. Like, he realizes how many people love him, and he's giving back, saying that he wants to hear their voices sing his song, and he doesn't want the show to be over, because right in that moment, they are in love.
They are controlled by whoever is the leader of the show, who tells them when the curtain will go down, and the stage will turn to darkness.
04-22-2009
That was actually the first impression that I got when I first read the lyrics.
04-22-2009
makes me think that Kyo is the "devil" & he is looking down at the people in the audience, thus, Hell.
and they move as he moves and basically worship him in the mosh pit.
:]

Now, granted, these posted lyrics are an awful butchering of the leaflet lyrics that came with the CD (which weren't even accurate themselves, being poorly translated) and whole parts are missing, but even so...anyone with any knowledge of Kyo or his life would feel embarrassed for you.
Just sayin'
07-01-2009
Really? All considering, I'm not some kind of 'new fan'. I've known them for 5 years, and seen them in concert 5 times. I've read an analyzed all of Kyo's songs and poems.
Granted that these lyrics might be shit, and I have no doubt that they are.
I'm kind of embarrassed for you, to think that you know everything about this man. To know him so well that you know he'd never possibly write about something like this.
Obviously, to you, he's someone that only writes about blood and guts, and how damned he is.
Oh, but do forget the times he's mentioned sorry to those he's hurt, even though he might not know of them.
How on earth could this relate to the audience?
Okay, let me spell this one out for you, since you're obviously too ignorant to read it for yourself.
"I tried so hard to bear with it. I even put out my hand. But
what it all comes down to was now;"
Have you ever seen the performance of '-Mushi-' on the Blitz 5 days? He looks like he's in so much pain, and he looks like he's trying not to cut himself, not to hurt himself. But the only way for him to feel good again is to do that, at least for that moment. He tried so hard not to do it. 'I even put out my hand'. Wait, what does Kyo do when he's on stage sometimes? Put out his hand for someone to touch?
"we're in hell under his control."
He could be talking about whoever directs the show, and how he (kyo) isn't the one who decides when the show is over, and how it's not really his fault if the feeling is cut off too soon. Or as inbetweemo stated, he might be referring to himself.
"So this is the end I tell you, Lights will be turned off and the
stage turned to darkness."
Oh, wow, a stage turned into darkness? I wonder what that could mean.
"Let me hear your voice more. I still want to be here."
Explaining, that the only place he wants to be at that moment is the stage, and he isn't ready yet to leave. He has explained in interviews that Dir en grey is the only thing in his life that keeps him going, and without them he couldn't be happy, and he could never be in any other band.
"Goodbye to an anonymous girl I loved from my heart."
Probably talking about an audience member, someone that he briefly connected with, although it was only momentarily, because they shared something that night.
"My tears mix with blood, and it brings to life my new dream
in my heart."
Oh my god, what does Kyo do on stage during this era? Cut himself?
Oh dear god, what else does he sometimes do? Cry?
Tears and blood, holy fuck, this song could so never be about a stage performance.
"Until our voices go out, at last.
Let's sing until our voices go out."
go fuck yourself.

It could be about his ex fiance/girlfriend that ditched him (yes theres an interview where he talks about this) but.. you never can know with the way Kyo uses wordplay so often.
Everyone thought glass skin was a love song when infact its about the econemy and how we destroy the world etc.
12-19-2009
When he puts his hands out dureing songs like "Mushi" etc.. hes not saying "heres my hand for you fans" its a physical way for him to express the SONG. This fact goes for the rest of your "analysis" as well.
Kyo MAY be talking about an actual show but hes not talking about fans. And i state again, with how Kyo uses wordplay the "darkened stage" is probably just a metaphor.
12-20-2009
I don't care if you think Kyo is made of stone, the man has emotion. He has feeling. He has an opinion on his audience. Could you, briefly, for one moment, assume that the man cares about his fans? Because let's fucking be honest here, he's stated more than once how important they are to him (and it was very -very- important). How would you feel if you were in front of a crowd of people who were singing your feelings?
You would have to feel some kind of connection. At least once out of the, what, thousands of lives they've done? At least once, you would have to feel something. Some emotion.
He might be kind of a loner, and he might isolate himself. But fucking get real if you think he doesn't think about anyone but himself
I am well aware that Kyo stated he will never write a happy song. I never implied that this was a happy feeling. Connections aren't always happy. And I was sure that I stated that this was being 'ripped away' from the connection.
Oh, please dear god show me the interview where he said he had a girlfriend that ditched him.
(you were aware that he lies a lot? of course you are, you know everything about him, don't you?)
Not everything he says is a metaphor, either. But, I don't really know, I guess. I don't know him just as much as you don't.
I'd like to think that Kyo would write something more than just metaphor's all of the time. But you obviously think that he is too much of an 'enigma' to ever express an actual part of his world view.
Seriously god, why does everyone think that they know him, and absolutely know for sure what he would completely -never- write about?
This is my opinion.
I heard it live.
GUESS WHAT HE DID?
He -reached out his hands- at the fucking audience.
(OH WHAT, AT THE AUDIENCE?)
Maybe it was a way to express his emotion.
(maybe his emotion was connecting with the crowd)
12-20-2009
I am not so much angry about the fact that you don't think this song is what I think it is about.
But the fact that you think Kyo would never write about such a thing.
Have you ever had a real conversation with him? Do you know him personally? Do you know what he dreams at night? Do you know his darkest fantasies?
You don't know him, you don't know what it's about. And it's fucking bullshit to think that you're any better than me and my opinion.
