  General Comment:I always hear these lyrics in the first verse:

  Licking his wounds in shame"
  
  I could get lost in this song. It somehow always manages to enrapture me, no matter how many times I listen to it. The music fills the car (or wherever I am) and world feels lighter, happier, full of life. :)

  General Comment:mmm i think that this whole song is just about appreciating the beauty of earth. yes, sometimes we have shitty days and we would like to hybernate and lie down like tired dogs and feel sorry for ourselves. but seriously? i think this song is saying, take a look around you. the world is beautiful and has so much to offer. we shouldnt dwell on petty things. i think this song is just appreciating the existence of Gods glorious creation.

    Mmmhmm. Pretty much all of their songs do this to me, but mostly this one and Postcards from Italy. I just want to go out and LIVE! I was pretty content with my life, but after listening to Beirut for awhile I started feeling like I needed something different, something more than what I'm doing. Never has a musical group done that to me. I love them for it.
