Summertime and the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high
Oh, your daddy's rich and your ma is good-lookin'
So hush, little baby; don't you cry

One of these mornings you're gonna rise up singing
And you'll spread your wings and you'll take to the sky
But till that morning, there ain't nothin' can harm you
With daddy and mammy standin' by

One of these mornings you're gonna rise up singing
And you'll spread your wings and you'll take to the sky
But till that morning, there ain't nothin' can harm you
With daddy and mammy standin' by

General Comment:LOL...old 'n' song. I'm guessing you mean NEGRO song. It's OK to say the word:) Back in the day, it was appropriate language and not viewed as offensive. Not sure if it was an old negro song (although with the mention of cotton it could well be), but it was one of Miss Ella's famous songs. It's obviously about a child being told by his parents that they will raise him/her well and be there to support him until he learns to spread his wings and fly.
