I had months to write a song That captured who you are But I fear I have done you wrong Because I've failed you so far The chord that struck, an angel fell Skies went dark and it all comes down The choices made, the lies forgotten Oh, well This is the way that I know This is the way that I know I would give everything for some hope Are you different? Could I be different too? Nobody knows you Nobody knows you like I do 'Cause there's a song outside my window And it plays to your tune And there's a life inside this pencil And it lives for what is true 'Cause I am lost for words, the cost for her Was way to much to bear You're not perfect but I don't care This is the way that I know This is the way that I know I would give everything for some hope Are you different? Could I be different too? Nobody knows you Nobody knows you like I do Are you different? Could I be different too? Nobody knows you Nobody knows you like I do Say the word, say the word Are you different Could I be different too? Nobody knows you Nobody knows you like I do Yeah, no Are you different? Could I be different too? Nobody knows you Nobody knows you like I do Are you different? Could I be different too? Nobody knows you Nobody knows you like I do

General Comment:The chord that struck, an angel fell
The sky went dark and it all comes down
The choices made, the lies forgotten

I believe this song is about losing someone too drugs and wishing they would have taken the time to understand them and help them......
    Idk just my interpretation.

General Comment:Just for people wondering if they're a Christian band, they aren't. Two of the members of the band aren't Christians. However, the members that are followers of Christ have faith that is shown in their lyrics. Here's a thread from their forum where (i think the lead singer?) matt explains why and what not :P

General Comment:I don't know why people have to say songs are about god all the time like seriously we all will find out when we die so if he is real he will love you for you since he gave you free will. if he didn't give us free will then we would all have to believe in him and being the perfect being that he is you can't say his choice to give free will isn't right. so if you believe in him fine and dandy but be more open minded about the lyrics instead of looking for reasons that it should be about god. and just cause there is Christian members in the band doesn't make them a Christian rock band and there songs "have to be in reference to god, thats like saying since Elvis Presley did gospel music that all his songs he ever created had to be about god... he told god to lay off of his blue sued shoes rofl XD

General Comment:This song, in my opinion, can go in two ways, for my life at least.

    ___________________________________________________________

This could be Him and God having a conversation e.g:

God: Are you different, could I be different too?
Lyricist: Nobody knows you, nobody knows you like I do

    or

Lyricist: Cause I am lost for words, the cost for her
Was way to much to bear
God: You're not perfect, but I don't care
    _____________________________________________________

I am in the same situation as this guy is in it appears, i know this girl really well, and she tells me things more than a lot of her friends, but she just wants to be friends. I like her a lot, but she doesn't know that. So it could be him talking to the girl, but i think it is open for interpretation, and honestly, that second example shows me that he is bringing his situation up to god, which is what i am doing. I am waiting for the opportunity, and for god, in his will, to tell me when i should talk to her.

    Other examples:

"I had months to write a song
    That captured who you are
But I fear I have done you wrong
Because I've failed you so far" - description of God and/or the girl.

"I would give everything for some hope" - him asking god for a chance

This is my interpretation, bash me all you want.

(my favorite song by them) TCC=freaking sweet. =D

General Comment:why is there no such thing as Christian Rock, i mean if they live and sing for Christ and show their love for him on stage, then wouldnt that make them a "Christ like" band

General Comment:No, they're not a "christian rock" band, because there's no such thing. They're a rock band. Some of the members in the band are Christians.
