Walked into our world and made horrible sounds
I can still hear them today
Strangely, they seem beautiful now
Though they outlast my love

Still each time I always meant
Every word, every one
Though in time they finally bent
Every word, every one, every word

"I will wait for you," she said, "endlessly"
"I will wait for you." So spoke misery

I returned to you but found
My empty home
The radio told me to stay
(As it burned down)
I sang alone
You will outlast, my love

Still each time I always meant
Every word, every one
Though in time they finally bent
Every word, every one, every word

"I will wait for you," she said, "endlessly"
"I will wait for you." So spoke misery

I have been waiting for you
Biting as you taught me to
I have come to relieve you
Of life and love

I will wait for you
I will wait for you
I will wait for you
I will wait
I will wait

"I will wait for you," she said, "endlessly"
"I will wait for you." So spoke misery

"I will wait for you endlessly"
"I will wait for you" So spoke
So spoke misery

I will bite straight through
As I wait for you, dear
Endlessly

General Comment:I almost cried when I heard this song resently, I have fallen in love with some that i know i will always love, but as we speak he could be falling in the arms of another, and that is the worst kind of hurt! I understand!!!

General Comment:This song is mainly about have a turmoil relationship, where the girl that he loved ends up falling out of love with him, but he still loves her the same. Not being able to love him she leaves him in peices, but he is willing to wait for his lost love that will never love him again. So he is forever stuck loving her with out a shred of love in return

General Comment:This is a very beautiful song.
I know exactly how Davey feels.
He's hurt, because someone has betrayed him.

General Comment:"Walked into our world and made\horible sounds.\I can still hear them today.\Strangely, they seem\beautiful now,\though, they outlast my love" I think this represents how he and his lover (sounds=words) would fight, and argue, but they still loved each other, even though they disputed constantly. He thinks that now that she is gone, he would rather remember the arguments and fights that they shared together than take in the reality that she is gone.
"Still each time I always meant every word, every one.\Though in time they finally bent\every word, every one." Although they had their disagreements, they had their good times too. (I don't know if this song is about Davey or some third person, but I'll just say it's Davey)Davey is stating that everything he said, he meant, and was true.
"'I will wait for you,'\she said,\'endlessly.'\'I will wait for you'\so spoke misery" She said that no matter how long he was gone, she would wait. While he was gone, she became unfaithful and sick of waiting. Davey is calling her misery because of all of the pain she put him through when she left.
"I returned to you but found\my empty home.\The radio told me to stay.\(As it burned down)\I sang along.\You will oulast my love." Davey returned home, excited to see her again, just to find that she was gone. (radio=voices in his head) The voices in his head told him to stay where he was as his heart and mind burnt to ashes.

General Comment:I think that this song is about teen pregnancy
Came into world making horrible sounds- makes me feel like he's saying "ae shit what did I do wrong?" as he watches the baby being born
strangely they seem beautiful now- he wishes he had stayed to watch his kid, this is like way in the future now.
I will wait for you she said- sounds to me like the bastard ditched his girlfriend an ran off and she just said she knew he'd cone back.
I have waiting for you bitig as you taught me to- this phrase makes me think that this is now the babys pov, the mother taught the kid how to survive alone and now she's grown up and she's taking over as the head o the family, takig are of te old mom. An when the dad finally comes back the kid grown up sais pretty much "thanks for bringing me into the world and the love you gave me( sarcasism) now screw off and die. ( relieving the old man of his life, he was always really worried about his kid but he was too much of a coward to do anything, and his love, which he was planning to do when he found his kid but the kid sayig " you don't deserve me, you ditched me"

My Interpretation:Okay, here's how I take this song.

He used to date this girl, and had to leave for some reason. I think neither of them wanted him to leave, but he had to, or something. The girl promised him she'll wait for him endlessly, so they could continue where they ended after he was back. Then, after some time (probably several years?) he came back to their old home finding it empty, the girl left. She didn't wait for him endlessly as she was supposed to. But he keeps waiting for her, endlessly, wanting her to come back, even though he knows she won't come back.

OK, I might got it wrong, but that's what I understand it like.

General Comment:For those wondering, Davey is whispering "Suicide" before the song starts. This song is one of the most important songs in the world to me.

General Comment:This song is amazing, my favourite of the album.
Some people say that AFI aren't as good now, I totally disagree. They have come from punk to more rock I guess, And out with the old in with the new!

General Comment:If you listen to this with the concept of Anne Rice's Interview With A Vampire in mind, the entire album Decemberunderground makes total sense.

The references to biting in several songs:

    Love Like Winter:

he/she bit my lip and drank my warmth from years before (Lestat and Claudia to Louis)

    Endlessly, She Said:

I have been waiting for you
Biting as you taught me to
I have come to relieve you
    Of life and love
    I will wait for you

    (Claudia to Louis)

Even Miss Murder references that people claim to be Jesus Christ are more like references to the immortality of vampires.

And no, I was not high nor drunk when this came to me. I'm sXe, long before I even became a fan of AFI :)

General Comment:Selkis 13 has hit the nail on the head with this one. That seems to be EXACTLY what it's about. If i read over it now I can't think of any other possible explanation.

the person saying "i will wait for you" is of course misery itself, hece the "so spoke misery"

and the "you will outlast my love" means that misery will always be there waiting for him. even after his love, because finally that will come to an end.

it is also misery speaking the lyric "I have come to relieve you Of life and love"
