Full the moon and midnight sky
Through the dark they ride
Warriors of forever will sacrifice the right

One for all and all for one
The future time has come
Faces filled with torment
Your heart beats like a drum

Never will you look back again
You'll fight on 'til the end
Together we will live on
Forever more

In this land we have defended from all things dark and cruel
Now we are defenseless in a land where dragons rule

In this land we have defended from all things dark and cruel
Now we are defenseless in a land where dragons rule

Flash of steel in the mid-day sun
The battle has begun
Blood spills all around us but still we carry on

No mercy we will show to them
The white flag shall be raised
We'll fight for our freedom
Ride towards this evil place

We all stand until the end allegiance to this game
In this land we've defended from all things dark and cruel
Now we're defenseless in a land where dragons rule

In this land we've defended from all things dark and cruel
Now we're defenseless in a land where dragons rule

Sun set in the western sky
The battle's almost done
The victory will be glorious
Our enemies are gone

    General Comment:yeah.... you guys are forgetting that ANYTHING can be a metaphor for sex....

    this song is about evil taking over a land where they have defended for a long time, and them taking it back by the end.

    Song Meaning:It's a message about something that is bigger than you are, going against a situation that you have little to no control over. A case in which you have worked and faught but no matter how hard or how far you have gone, you still can't seem to change anything. This song is encouraging those to keep fighting, despite the fact that "Dragons" rule.

    General Comment:
    Half of dragonforces songs are metaphors for sex. This one is no different. I agree with the above post.

    General Comment:amazing song that really captures the emotion of that moment when two lovers, or "warriors" or finally take that final step to the game of sex, aka the "battle".
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Full the moon and midnight sky
    Through the dark they ride
    Warriors of forever will sacrifice the night
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    imagine the two "warriors" riding through and spending the night together, the moon is full because their hearts are. they will sacrifice their precious time for each other.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    One for all and all for one
    The future time has come
    Faces filled with torment
    Your heart beats like a drum
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    now is the moment when the warriors will go for it, their faces are nose to nose, tormented by their feelings for each other, hearts pounding like a drum

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Never you will look back again
    you'll fight on 'til the end.
    Together we will live on forevermore
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    This is it, the moment the two lovers lives become entwined, the relationship has come alive.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In this land we have defended from all things dark and cruel
    Now we are defenseless in a land where dragons rule
    In this land we have defended from all things dark and cruel
    Now we are defenseless in a land where dragons rule
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Think about it, "this land", could either be your heart or your "special place".
    The warriors, lovers, and dragons are all one and the same. they are defenseless because they are naked and exposed to each other.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Flash of steel in the mid-day sun
    The battle has begun
    Blood spills all around us but still we carry on
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The amazing guitar work escalates as the flash of steel is the lovers start going at each other. the battle, or sex, has begun. the blood spilling is the rest of the world carrying on all around them but still the lovers carry on together, forgetting everything but each other.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    No mercy we will show to them
    The white flag shall be raised
    We'll fight for our freedom
    Ride towards this evil place
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The two warriors both show no mercy as they ravage each other, the white flags are raised as the lovers both want to be ravaged by the other. they will phuck each other like they are fighting for their freedom. they ride together towards the evil place, which in this case is the uncertainty of the future of this new relationship that has started.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    We all stand until the end allegiance to this game
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The announcement that they will stand together, with allegiance to each other. the game is the relationship.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In this land we've defended from all things dark and cruel
    Now we're defenseless in a land where dragons rule
    In this land we've defended from all things dark and cruel
    Now we're defenseless in a land where dragons rule
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The two "warriors" are making love like dragons fighting, rolling through the clouds. the land is the extacy of the bedroom, embraced together in the game of sex. the guitars are going crazy like the lovers

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Sun set in the western sky
    The battle's almost done
    The victory will be glorious
    Our enemies are gone
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The lovers have fought the boredom of life together and time has passed, the "victory" or "orgasm" will be glorious. For the time being at least, the lovers are happy and their "enemies" are gone.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    We all stand until the end allegiance to this game
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    the relationship

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In this land we've defended from all things dark and cruel
    Now we are defenseless in a land where dragons rule
    In this land we've defended from all things dark and cruel
    Now we are defenseless in a land where dragons rule
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The sex makes you feel strong like a dragon, the two warriors sex lifes are alive because they escalated from being warriors to being mighty dragons, they rolled the dice, played the game, and won each other. the lovers are happy with their decision, they have joined their lands together, and seen that they did not let any evil in when they joined. they are the dragons but now they rule together

    General Comment:Ah, again the mysteries of Dragonforce. They give us cryptic lyrics and we derive our own meanings from them. Who knows what this song means?
    It could be political, it could be pure fantasy, we will never know. DF just burn out whatever they please and we end up arguing about it. THAT is die-hard DF fanism. Like I've said before, DF just write what they like and we interpret it however we want. The songs don't really have any major meaning that DF try to put across. We make it our own meaning.

    General Comment:For the part:

    No mercy we will show to them
    The white flag shall be raised

    It's more much more likely that its:

    No mercy we will show to them
    NO white flag shall be raised

    Since raising a white flag means surrender, which is clearly not what they want to say. :)

    General Comment:This is pretty much the most noble song ever to listen to.

    The lyrics are pretty hard to find a meaning to, so I just listen to the words and kind of picture a dragon scene with fighting and fire., haha..

    This song is great to listen to while playing Halo 3, I must admit.

    DragonForce is amazing.

    General Comment:im not quite sure that this is political, so working fom that angle, i think that it is about standing your ground no matter what the odds appear to be and that anything is possible. plus, as awesome as dragons are all the lame fantasy stuff we hear about as kids involve dragons being slain by knights in shining armor. then again, the most badass teams have been the dragon and rider teams in my oppinion....and what is the difference between dragons, drakes, and wyverns (not sure if thats the right spelling)

    "No, it isnt political at all.
    Besides, America is not defenseless, we have the best damn military in the world." -- is a rash statement, as your assuming they are referring to military power, and not defenses within your country.

    One possible meaning is that we've defended ourselves from other countries (in wars and stuff) ("from all things dark and cruel") but now we're being made to believe ideas by the media etc. ("in a land where dragons rule")

    General Comment:I think this might be the quintessential dragonforce song. If they have made anything faster and more intense than this , please let me know. and the lyrics are pure DF.
