You made me fall over
Then I hit my head
Now I can’t remember
Anything that you said
But I dreamed I was you
And I dreamed I was dead
When I woke up, I carved your face
Into my bed
It’s like I missed all the memos
And I missed the boat
And a meteor shower
Is heading for my throat
Bang, bang. Smack. Ouch.
I thought romance was pretty
Then you went and spoiled it
Every time that I think of you
Have to go to the toilet
Can’t tell if this is love
Or a stomach disorder
Or a massive grade A typhoon
Inside my aorta
And I want to jump in it
Wanna give it a voice
Wanna cut to the finish
Deny your lizards for boys
And you don’t know paranoia
Till it bites you in the balls
Till somebody is under a bus
Cos he hasn’t called
Cos I think that you are leaving
Before you’ve arrived
Need to know that you’re breathing
And you know you’re alive
Oh Bang, bang. Smack. Ouch.
I can’t shake this feeling
That I’m down on my luck
You’re an animated anvil
And I’m an animated duck
That they world’s made of numbers
And I am a three
And you are nine hundred and eight
And you’re sitting on me
That I’m single cell matter
And you are the sea
But I’m evolution
Finally
Because I didn’t know who I was before
Now my mind is wide open
But my body is old
Bang, bang. Smack. Ouch.

General Comment:it definately goes "but nihilism's for boys" not entirely sure how to interpret it though. Maybe only men can contemplate the idea that ther might be NOTHING else, and women will always be in favour of the great SOMETHING, although i can't decide whether i agree (very INdecisive today)

nevertheless, another amazing emmy song, lyrically one of her most brilliant i think especially the "i am single cell matter/and you are the sea/but i've hit evolution/finally" and until i heard thins i didn't think 'evolution' was a pretty word, or poetic concept, but now i'm sold.

General Comment:The line is "but nihilism's for boys".

    Y'know, like, the philosophical concept?

General Comment:is it "Deny your lizards for boys"?
it kind of sounds like she's saying "but now you listens for voice," which doesn't make that much sense either.
