Held captive, I'm a prisoner
In the back room where the water leaks and I'm oh, so cold
Command me on what to do, but we both know neither you or I are in control

There's nothing left for me here
I'm grabbing on to what's left of this hole.
It's all too real this can't be happening

Never again, ever again, will I say I'm OK
I'm scared of the fate that will become mine

No time to talk you know the drill

Under my desk this can't be it
I'm only dreaming, I've got to be dreaming
But I can't get up. No time to talk, not this time, this is my place
This is where I arrange

It's so funny how we see things so clear when we have no time left to live

So lay back now and take it in
I won't say a word. I won't say anything

I can't believe how it feels
To stand here in this room
And feel like it's going to blow
I think we're all going to blow

I've got to be dreaming
We've got to be dreaming
Please don't wake me up
This is the end.

General Comment:This song is about the end of the world as I've gathered. The line "It's so funny how we see things so clear when we have no time left to live" is talking about how we'll think we were so stupid for paying attention to stupid things like money and such. Overall great song.

My Interpretation:To me, this song sounds like it is about a man (or woman) who is very upset with his job and his life. He is blown away about how much he doesn't like it and how he feels opressed by authorative figures. This can be a man who works a hard 9-5 and is let down by his situation, as if he wants more out of life. These lines from the song: "Under my desk, this cant be it. I'm only dreaming, I've gotta be dreaming" and "No time to talk, not this time. This is my place, this is where I arrange." can be taken literally, as he feels consitricted and as if "under his desk" is the only place he has a sense of freedom (or in his head). The sense of being held back is felt with the lines "No time to talk, you know the drill" like he is unable to express himself.

    General Comment:this is about & I quote

" talkes about the end of the world and freaking out and anxiety-the FALSE end of the world. I have GAD-Generalized Anxiety Disorder-I have it so bad i feel like im having a heart attack and it'll last for weeks sometimes-like, my chest hurts. and you go to the doctor, and it's just like,"you're freaking out, calm down,it's your subconscious" So,for me, a lot has to do with the space inside your head."- Aaron Gillespie in an AP Interview in july 06

My Opinion:In retrospect, the first chorus, "Never again, ever again, will i say I'm OK
I'm scared of the fate that will become mine", sounds like it should be on LITSOS.

    General Comment:Straight from the band:

If you go on the underOATH website, underoath777.com they have a journal where the band members get on a blog and Grant get's on and answers fan questions. somebody asked him what the new songs meant and he said that they would have to ask Spencer about most of them, because the only one he knew for sure was that "A Moment Suspended In Time" was about the end of the world.

if you think about it like that, it does make sense.
