Lyrics for Lost Keys as interpreted by Solarius

Lost Keys Lyrics
Nurse: Excuse me, Doctor? if you have a moment?
Doctor: A moment, what's the question?
Nurse: More of a situation. A gentlemen in exam three.
Doctor: What's the problem?
Nurse: That is the problem, we're not sure.
Doctor: Do you have the chart?
Nurse: Right here.
Doctor: Not much there is there.
Nurse: No Doctor, no obvious physical trauma, vitals are stable.
Doctor: A name?
Nurse: No sir.
Doctor: Did someone drop him off? Maybe he'll speak to them, lets get some background on his file.
Nurse: No ID, nothing. And he won't speak anyone.
Doctor: Well then, let's say hello.
Doctor: Good morning, i'm Doctor Lawson. How are you today?
Doctor: How are you today?
Doctor: Look son, you're in a safe place. We want to help you in whatever way we can.
Doctor: But you need to talk to us. We can't help you otherwise.
Doctor: What's happened? tell me everything.

a pacient who don´t to talk ..good music , good noise in the back ..strange song .. o.O

so , the big question is what is the person of the history ..and why he do not talk ..
maybe afraid of the hospital ..of medical failures ..or he just is on a good trip or something ..

It's a lead up to Rosetta Stoned. It seems to be the story of one troubled guy.

Rosetta Stoned is the guy explaining what happened to him to the doctor, most likely.

But wait, Rosetta stoned is interpreted to be a story of a guy high on DMT. A line from this song is "Nurse: No Doctor, no obvious physical trauma, vitals are stable."

I'm no experts on drugs, but I'm sure if he was high on something everything would'nt be normal, and they could easily point out that he was high ands that's why he was acting all weird. Maybe there's some other mesage hidden here.

But it's called Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman). Abbie Hoffman was the inventor of LSD...

i'm sure maynard's down for some senseless violence. but if he were serious about this album, i'd be sure to at least attempt to kick his ass.

This 'song' is just an intro to 'Rosetta Stoned'. In that one, the guy in the hospital explains what happened to him now that he's come down off of his high.

lost keys is about someone whos been fucked up on lsd and then rosetta stoned is that same person explaining their trip(possibly in their mind) to the doctor. if you listen to the lyrics its really fucken cool. ands its definitely the patient from the previous track telling their wild fucken story

I think Rosetta Stoned is more of a prequel to Lost Keys - the guy's tripped out on DMT and it's completely messed up his mind, so much so that he's catatonic and keeps reliving the trip even once he's been admitted to hospital.

I do not think TREXOR is Maynard.
I think TREXOR and EGB are both Maynard.

They are laying it on a little too thick.

If they are maynard, then he should have known that people inteligent enough to enjoy Tool would catch how fake this argument between him and himself is.

I'm not too worried about it though.

This song is an obvious prequel for Rosetta Stoned. Rosetta Stoned is what the patient is telling the doctor. I've heard some rumors that if you listen to Lost Keys backwards, you can hear some things Maynard is saying. Who knows though...

since this is a lead in to rosetta stoned, it should be noted that the rosetta stone was the KEY to deciphering hieroglyphics-the ancient egyptian written language. in rosetta stoned he is having all these revelations into understanding life, and possible spirtual revelations, but he cant communicate because of lsd.

maybe maynard blames hofmann giving people a shortcut to opening their "third eye".

This is a really cool song. The music in the background gives a really cool, eerie feel to the convrsation between the doctor (who sounds remarkably like the Australian Dr. Chase from the show House) and the nurse (who doesnt).

The spooky feel makes for a good lead-up to the next track Rosetta Stoned, the sequel/prequel to this track whatever way you want to look at it.

I got the album yesterday. Best. Album Art. Ever.

According to the link that Iha put up, Hoffman invented the 1-on-1 therapy technique... thats what i gather anyway, correct me if im wrong... Neway, its this technique the doctor tries to use to get the patient to open up. open up. hence lost keys. heh heh Am I genius or what?
