This Broken Social Scene song is just another perfect example of their absolutely wonderful instrumental tunes! It gives you chills.

I'm going to describe it as "repeating sadness."

I wrote a short story to this song on repeat two years ago. It was my inspiration.

It's amazing how these simple chords could give you such an intricate feeling. Whenever I listen to this I literally just stop and try to take this amazing feeling in. I always listen to this song at night when I'm stressed out or just before I go to sleep so I can fall asleep happy.

This song is one of the "core/root inspiring" songs. I can never get bored of it, and no matter how I feel, it slows me down so I can step back and look at everything in a different perspective.

This is, at the risk of sounding laughably pretentious, by far, the most efficient instrumental piece ever written. Seriously. If not the best song ever written period. Have you ever inhaled nitrous to this shit? Goddamn. Actually Rachel's - Water from the same source" might have it beat. Maybe. Find that song and listen to it NOWWWWWWW

in my opinion, "guilty cubicles" are synonymous with "prison cells"
but when i listen to it I think about floating on a lake, and freedom...

maybe that's what goes through the persons mind while they're locked up?

i also feel like i'm in a dream.

this one of my favorite instrumentals of all time

This song gives me some kind of wonderful, false hope.

When I heard this song for the first time, I was writing a story about a man deeply involved with a woman at his workplace, so I obviously got that kind of meaning from the "Guilty Cubicles" title. Now whenever I hear it, I think of that: how it must feel to have an affair, or just to long to be with someone who is unattainable or attached. Or just sadness in general. It also makes me think of really rainy days. I could go on for hours about this song... I don't know what it is that makes it so trance-inducing. It is just amazing.

This track reminds me of Brian Eno's 'Always Returning'. I enjoy playing these two tracks back-to-back whenever I feel I need a calming effect to overcome me; some kind of cathartic healing in the power of the music; these tracks reaffirm the elegant awe of every facet of life coexisting with itself; the bitter with the sweet, the night with the day, the beauty with the pain. There is a resigned acceptance of all things in the stoic nature of these instrumental pieces.
