It's you to me, it's your gentle face, overdue but worth the wait And out of my reach but I'm reaching out for you And me to the night, I say goodbye, this time is up, I fight the time A need an award, I can't afford it, a finished song, one more chord Already in my mind And I'm in over my head inside And it's already in my mind Inside, inside Now everyone back, my heart's at war with all these plans I had before I'm losing my grip but I'll lose it all for you So I go driving all around, I'm denying all these sounds that hit my ear Drum the beat of a heart I can't defeat So it's already in my mind And I'm in over my head inside And it's already in my mind Inside, inside Oh, let me in Let me in And it's already in my mind And I'm in over my head inside, inside And it's already in my mind Well inside, inside, inside, inside Inside, inside

My Interpretation:This song is about being a gone-r for someone. It's like you are already dreaming about this person and they are just every other thought. Even if it's not all reality yet.

It's the time when you dream of what could be :)

General Comment:I know Jon pretty well actually. He grew up in our town of Anderson, IN. He graduated from Anderson University where I currently go. He has always said that this song is about a blind date he went on his freshman year of college. I can't remember if it was with his now wife, Amy. Who knows?

General Comment:Other than Beautiful Disaster, I think this is one of his best songs.

They both have that upbeat kind of indie thing to them.

General Comment:First of all I like this new artist. I was even more impressed he wrote all the songs. Great talent.

I think this song is about a guy who really loves this girl but maybe more than she loves him at this point. Maybe the end of a relationship "a finished song... one more chord." It seems something he shouldn't want but his heard is in over his head! He's reeling from the end of a relationship he wants so badly to hold on to.
