Clearly imply that this was a crime they committed together. The rest is pretty straight forward. The singer is killing himself with poison after telling the cops everything they needed to know to convict his friend. "I sealed your fate, and told the truth" pretty much rests the case. I'm not sure how you got that he was framing his friend for his suicide out of that.
