not that this has anything to do with the song's meaning, but my mom grew up across the street the from the guy who wrote this song (well, like 90% of it). my aunt used to baby sit him. i had his mom for 5th grade...pretty interesting if i do say so myself

this generally isnt the type of stuff i listen too but this is a very powerful song
to be honest i didnt give a rat's ass bout him and jessica being together, i mean i thought it would end, but it's sad to see people get hurt like nick did and have the person you love just...give you that "w/e" attitude
i think a serious heartbreak like this is the greatest pain you could ever feel
and whats hard is you push yourself to think they'll come back, and your friends and family keep telling you to stop getting upset and its not worth it.

anyways, this song is definitely about how part of him has been taken away because of his relationship with jessica and hes not saying he wants HER back, hes saying that the person he is faling in love with now can have whatevers left of him. idk y u guys r thinking that hes wanting her back, its obviously that hes in love with someone else and they can have whats left of him.
w/e, its a really sweet song and he really put his whole heart into it and i admire it no matter how much i still see him as a member of 98 degrees and think its pretty lame.
