I am cold
And I'm lost
I'm standing in the rain
I'm not strong
Anymore
I'm just waiting for the sun
I am cold
And I'm lost (I am cold)
I'm standing in the rain
(I'm standing in the rain)
I'm not strong
Anymore (and I'm lost)
I'm just waiting for the sun
(I'm just waiting for the sun)
And I'm lost
I'm standing in the rain
I'm not strong
Anymore
I'm just waiting for the sun
I am cold
And I'm lost (I am cold)
I'm standing in the rain
(I'm standing in the rain)
I'm not strong
Anymore (and I'm lost)
I'm just waiting for the sun
(I'm just waiting for the sun)

The lengthy piano intro is just beautiful. Very reflective without being melodramatic or whining. Soft, introspective. The words of the narrator are desperate, pleading, but never without dignity. A cry for help; calling for guidance. Not willing to be on his own anymore, he finally reaches through the clouds, this dark of night, upwards to the sun in search of solace and healing. His fight is over. Now he wants to rest.
Lovely.
