There's just so many things you never needed to say.
Like I'm your other soul, but you can love them all
Your tears are meaningless, they're written on your face.
Just like your empty words, just like the chemical.
Just like the disease that stains your lips tonight.
You are the disease that's in my life.
If it's no ones fault,
There's just no one to blame and nothing to say.
This time it's no ones fault.
So there's nothing to save and no one to hate.
But I want to so bad.
Believe me.
There's just so many ways you never needed to be.
Like I'm some empty space that never leaves your side.
Now wipe that stupid look off of your face.
You're not the finest one, you're not the only one.
You're just a disease that stains her lips tonight.
You are the disease that's in my life.
If it's no ones fault,
There's just no one to blame and nothing to say.
This time it's no ones fault.
So there's nothing to save and no one to hate.
But I want to so bad.
Believe me.
We're great in small doses
I pronounce it.
You're satisfied loving me.
You're so proud of yourself and your disadvantage to me.
It's just something you love to say (and hear that you're uncommon).
The greater the dosage makes me mispronounce it to be.
You're dead inside of me.
You're dead inside of me.
But when you're alone.
And no one knows.
It doesn't seem to matter.
You're the same inside of me.
If it's no ones fault,
There's just no one to blame and nothing to say.
This time it's no ones fault.
So there's nothing to save and no one to hate.
If I say I want you so bad.
It doesn't matter.
Don't believe me.
You're just the disease that was in my life

There's this guy, and he meets this girl online, and after getting to know her he realizes she's everything he's ever wanted. Problem is they are both married. They hook up after many months of late night emails, but only once. They continue to talk about what it would be like to be together, not that it matters. They can never be together. Part of him wishes she didn't mean so much to him.
He knows she's unhappy. He knows she wants to be with him, but she wont. She knows it too.
She achs to be with him as much as he does. She thinks of the night that they were together. He's her disease as much as she is his.
Neither of them meant for this to happen. It just did.
And even though he knows nothing can be done for their situation, he still wants her.
They should have never been together. It only made him want to be with her more.
And he tries to get over her... tries to stop thinking of her.
But he can't stop thinking of her... and he has to live with it.
They try to make the best of the time they do get to spend. Midnight emails, text messages, mid-day phone calls. But it's never enough.
To him, she seems satisfied quietly pining away for him. She's just happy knowing someone out there loves her. She's proud she's able to keep this double life.
But the more he speaks to her, the more he wants to be with her. He realizes at this point he could actually be in love with her.
He's not satisfied loving her knowing she can't be with him. He really wants to stop obsessing over her.
But he knows that when she's alone she thinks of him too. There's comfort in knowing this. But not much.
He knows it doesn't matter. They'll never be together.
He has to live with it.
There are so many things you shouldn’t have told me. Like how I was your soulmate; because your words really touched me. But you really don’t love ME. Now that I realize this; your tears don’t mean anything to me. I don’t pity you. Now your words are empty to me, but you continue to be my disease.
You say this time its no ones fault and that this relationship doesn’t need to be saved and no1 needs to be hated. But you’re wrong. YOU ARE TO BLAME; and you are to be hated. Believe me; i want to, but i cant.
It was just an act. you made me believe that I filled your empty space and that I was always in your heart. Now I see the real mask. Wipe away that fake face. Here’s the truth. I’m not the only one in your life and im not the finest one either. Now you kissed her and betrayed me. You continue to be the disease in my life.
You only used me for your temporary satisfaction. Your so proud; you flaunted me for everyone’s sake. You're done with me. You are dead to me. I thought you were my life, but you are dead inside of me.
If I say I want you, don’t belive me because it isn’t the truth. You were the disease in my life. You were the pain and the heartache that I faced. You were all the unhealthy symptoms in my life, but now I am over it.
Though the one who chases after me thinks the one that I'm with is bad for me and a generally bad person, I and everyone else know that he isn't. I've finally put up the roadblock to keep that chaser away, and I couldn't be happier with my guy.
This girl is in a relationship with one guy, and she truly loves him, but she also loves this other guy, the singer.
The singer loves her so desperately and would do anything for her to leave the guy she's with. For some reason she can't/won't leave that guy, but she won't stop seeing the singer on the side. She can't leave, and he won't leave, and they're at this standstill.
He wants to be with the girl, and he can't blame her for not wanting to leave her relationship, because he loves her. He also can't blame the guy she's with, because he's not a bad guy and it's not his fault.
There are so many lines, I think, that support this.
"I'm your other soul, but you can love them all" She says he's her other soul, but she loves both of these guys.
"The disease that stains your lips tonight" I think she goes to see him after having sex with her boyfriend and her lips are red and swollen from his kisses
"You're the disease that's in my life" She's the thing he can't get away from, making his life miserable even in loving her.
The chorus is talking about how it's no one's fault that they're in this situation, like I said earlier, He can't blame her, because he loves her. He can't blame her boyfriend because it's not his fault either, he's a good guy. He can't blame himself because she keeps saying she'll leave the guy. But he wants someone to blame for all this misery.
I think the second verse is where he sees her out with her boyfriend. It seems almost like they know each other somehow or something. He sees the boyfriend so happy with his girl, stupid-happy ("Now wipe that stupid look off of your face") and he (the singer) gets jealous, because he knwos he should be with her. ("You're not the only one, you're not the finest one, you're just the disease that stains her lips tonight, you are the disease that's in my life") That if he wasn't there, everything would be totally fine and dandy.
I think at the end he gets tired of her stringing him along and he gets fed up and leaves ("You're just the disease that WAS in my life") Or, at the very least, thinks he left her.
Believe me.

i would think that the 'dark that follows' itself would refer to the man who takes your place in the woman of your dreams' life.
do you see what i mean? her new lover is the 'dark that follows' the 'eclipse' of your hearts, to put a spin on Matisyn's own words in the 'Unplugged Melody.'
"you are just the disease that stains her lips tonight."
The new man is the 'disease.' He doesn't deserve her but she's been infected by him. The narrator watches helplessly from the sidelines.
