  General Comment:There's a reason the lead singer wrote this song. How many of you know that he has Asperger's syndrome? Basically, mother and brother want him gone because he's not associating with them, "Mother said - Get me out - Brother meant - Get me out". I do agree with the person that said the tatoo meant that he has changed.
  
  At one of his concerts, he spat in someone's face and kicked another, and was soon reported. Once he was taken to a hospital, it was confirmed that he has Asperger's syndrome and therefore all the charges were dropped.
  
  I found this song on Songfacts and downloaded it right away once I realized what it was about. I, too, have Asperger's. It sucks.

  General Comment:He wasn't sound before his medication and he didn't seem like it around the time this was released, although more stable. Could be a reflection of people's attitudes toward him being drugged, "mother said get me out, brother meant get me out".
  
  Like a lot of vines songs it seems to be just raw emotion, no specific meaning; where it came from isn't important, I don't even think craig can answer that.
  
  All I KNOW is that the last 2 in a half minutes is him bleeding into the song, especially live.

  General Comment:Hmmm, I basically agree with you... But you seem to be thinking of it as being wirtten in the past tense, if you know what i mean. I think of someone knowing their family wants them gone... "the spaceship in the yard" symbolises his way out...

  General Comment:Intro and first verse are killers, theyre so sick, everytime i hear it i get chills down my spine, awesome awesome song indeed.
  
  Its about craig's distant relationship with his family back home, i dont think craigs the sociable type, he would just lock himself in his room and get high, playing the guitar. He is unable to communicate with his family anymore, he has alienated himself from them. Also portraying that he is different and defient(tattoo my head tattoo my feet), he wants to leave home and searh for that special place that he had always dreamt of...
