I adore this song and it makes me cry too. Gerard's voice sounds more raw in it esp. when he holds out the notes and it's just beautiful!! It's mezmirizing and haunting to me, idk about the rest of you.

It makes me feel sad for Gerard and all he's been through. I love that man :(

my chemcial romance is the best fuckin' band ever!!!! the dvd/cd life on the murder scene was awesome. gerard way is so goregus, and soo sweet, and cute, and adorable, and the list goes on...

I listened to this song over and over it brought images of a sky like on the begining of Wizard of Oz how it has that classic camera look and stuff. I find it pleasintly hauting and calming it cresendos so much I tingle all over Gerrard has great talent I wish I could sing like that dude. The bit "From the lights to tha pavement" has a great blusey bendy bit which is very tasty. In the end MCR rock and will rule the world. Eat My Heart Out

you should be able to get life on the murder scene at any music store, try FYE. Or, if you have iTunes, they have this song on there. =] i would recommend buying the DVD, though, it's awesome. ^_^;;

I'd hate to turn this "WHAT DOES THIS SONG MEAN TO YOU" board, which it is USED FOR not INSULTING people. But.. I must. FackingHell, grow the HELL up, your annoying me to DEATH. If you don't like My Chemical Romance, or Gerard Way, don't waste your time, coming to this site, searching My Chemical Romance, going to each song, to insult it or call it EMO!! MCR is NOT emo. If the song is about 'cutting your wrists' its not saying 'OO CUT YOUR WRISTS SO YOU'LL BE COOL' it's probably explaining HOW the person died. If they said something about being shot, i'm sure you wouldn't be saying 'shoot yourself. its cool' it's just a form of suicide that has become common. But Gerard is not emo. There was an interveiw with him. He does not just wear black clothes, and he has short brown hair now, and only wears make-up on stage or in videos. He doesn't prance around in it randomly. And lyrics are dark, because life is dark, its not always happy sunshine. Like you probably want. Then go to the Britney Spears page, and eff off.

Also. Has anyone else noticed, before MCR was aired on Much Music, or liked by alot of people, you all liked their songs? In these comment boxes the first pages are all "Wow! this is awesome! I love it!" and then it slowly goes to "I hate them so much!" and this is after the songs have been out for awhile. People start not liking them, because they are popular. I mean.. EURGH. They do what they want, leave it be. If you don't like the song, don't pay so much attention to them, or the band, or the song for the matter. Also, people just insult the good comments, to get something going, for their own sick amusement. Just grow up, if the band is so horrible, make your own band, become famous, create your own music, and make sure they never play again. Otherwise, just shut the fuck up.

So, because not everything in life is SUPER happy, then anything below is emo? Okay. Obviously life isn't happy all the time. So if you wake up one day, and your sad, suddenly your emo? I have my doubts. There needs to be both happy and sad music. But it's not emo, unless the band SAYS they're emo, and actually says in songs they enjoy slitting their wrists.. or something.. gah.

I absolutly love MCR. I think this song is amazing! In my opinion it's the best MCR song yet. It's so deep, and it makes me cry almost everytime i hear it. I think Gerard is one of the most amazing, inspiration people to ever live, and i think their band has saved alot of lives, including mine. I feel like Gerard knows more about me than i know about myself, which is really weird, but i love them, and I think they will become REALLY huge!

i don't want to seem like a bitch but EMO doesn't exist. Emo is not a type of music either. I've said this sooo many times but im so sick and tired of people call themselves emo in pride and creating some retarded music genre called "EMO!" What the hell is that. every body has emotions, unless your brainless or some kind of a damn android. and all music has some sort of emotion otherwise it wouldn't be music at all. And whats the big deal about people saying that bands sell out when they become popular? i don't know why but that just popped up in my mind. This is not a direct stab at anyone but just it annoys me when a band is sucessful people flip out and call them sell outs. If somebody is a true fan they would be happy for them. Again i hate the term emo. okay all of that is off my chest, now!

okay back to the real point... this song is beautiful and it made me bawl the first time i heard it. I think it means that its very easy to lose yourself in the hype and the demands of music and just something that your passionate about. And almost being dead inside because your not seen as a real person and your not living like a real person. kinda comparing the steps to death to the steps of a rock show. Idk. thats just what i got out of it. there could be thousands of other meanings......

FackingHell, why don't you leave us alone and go slit your sad little 'emo' wrists then? This song is completely meaningful, and no one cares whether or not you like MCR. That's your opinion and if you're going to be rude to everyone else, we're not going to respect it.

After I watched the journal DVD, it made one hell of a lot more sense to me. It seems like it's about the bad things in life and how you want to savor the good things so much, but they just end up slipping away no matter how hard to try to grasp on to them. It also sort of reflects MCR's story, mostly Gerard's, especially in the line "from the van to the floor". The first time I heard it, my eyes watered a bit, and then I spent the next hour listening to it because it's completely entracing... Gerard's got a great voice, and I really admire the whole band because of their talents...

it's definetly dead. the song is about a singer (hrm, who could that be?) who devotes all his music to his dead lover. he was on tour when she died, and went right from the show to the morgue to ID the corpse. SHAZZAM!

ha i've been listening to mcr sine b4 they had a record deal...and all you little 13 year old wanna be emo kids need to get a life...if you think this song is anything but their best then you really have to take a closer look at the lyrics and at the Gerard Way that first wrote Demolition Lovers almost 6 years ago...

all of mcr's real fans are sick and tired of posers trying to catch on to the "new thing" and listen to an amazing band and watch them turn themselves away from what they really are and make themselves what more people want them to be.

their new cd is bullshit...it barely has any true poetic meaning the true poetic meaning that got mcr a deal to begin with...

and it's nothing and i mean NOTHING like what they were in 2001 playing to like 10 people in a bar somewhere in NJ next to a rest stop....

i fell in love when i saw them live...and then was reborn when i heard them live again for their tour...then died when i heard them preform their "new great cd" three cheers for great revenge.....wich only had one or two meaningfull songs

basically

they suck now
their fans are posers and need a life...and a real band

and gerard is probably regretting ever singning w. a major lable
