i know that they've collaborated with the Used, but didn't gerard and bert mccracken have some kind of huge falling out and now they don't speak? so maybe, b12, gerard has regained his sense. i have never listened to the Used, because i've seen the guy on life on the murder scene and in various magazines and he just gave me an icky feeling. now, however, i want to hear them just to see if they do suck that bad.
and i think that MCR will regain whatever they have lost. they're still human, god knows three straight years of touring would make anyone tired. gerard and the rest of the boys know that the fans are counting on them. i think he said something to the effect that this new album was to weed out the people that weren't real fans...that didn't get what he was trying to say. so, you never know, it will probably kick ass. i have faith in them, they are my band, and they will not disappoint. oh god, i'm rambling again, why can't i ever learn to just shut up.

Yeah i was wandering why people were saying it was a cover, its definetly not but now we've cleared that up...

I completely agree with demolitionxlover, at first i thought it could just be about any guy missing a girl but i totally love the idea about it being a sequal to demolition lovers it makes so much sense and i agree totally that the whole from the earth to teh morgue bit is about him being drunk.

Great song i find the beginning kinda htpnotic and a bit creepy it gives me the chills as a few other people have said...amazing song, if there new album is going to be stuff like this it should be great

I love this song to tiny bits.

From the first time I heard to now still, this song makes me think about Gerard's drug/drinking problem.

From the lights to the pavement
From the van to the floor
From backstage to the doctor
From the earth to the morgue

Like, from interviews and such, he said how he was always either drunk or hungover, waiting to get drunk again. And that bit makes me think of him explaining that. He'd perform (lights/backstage) and then be so piss drunk (pavement/floor). And then after time, he started going to therapy (doctor). And if he hadn't, he might have died (morgue).

Either way, I love this song. I wanna make love to Gee's voice on this track.

this song is really cool..it makes me wanna cry everytime i hear it..its so tragic..it really is..for me he's just telling that life is shit..and that even if they wanna end it they ll find some other way..but then he describes death ...for him apparently..when he says backstage..but anyway can someone explain to me what rocking out just for the dead means in this song..?

i also think that gerard's voice is so much deeper..it changes so much from the first and second album...it took a while to get used to it but i finally loved that song...and yea i agree with everydayishalloween that the intro is kinda morbid..i thought so when i listened to it in their homepage..it was just so morbiiid!! love it

that dvd is hilarious!! the funniest is when gerard is just really stoned and he s just running around everywhere love him!..
oh yea and its funny when he says the gift is for his new hamster....that dvd just really made me love them even more and respect them..they are really great people..gods..im so happy for them ..they just mean alot to me..alot..really..and this song here makes me cry

Yah Bury Me in Black is awesome..yah ive read the whole four pages..came pretty far from "i heard this is a cover of deff leppard" and "no its original!"..To a discussion about The Used...MCR's new album...how sucky bert is....(cus he is and I really dont have to prove why cus ButNeverOutgunned did that for me). Err...oh yah. I'd really like to download this song and hear it...where did you guys get it? I'll admit im the fan of the darker stuff, darker lyrics...and Bullets and Three Cheers seem like a tie to me. Im a fan of MCR my favorite band, kept me from banging my head against my wooden bedroom floor; hearing all these "Top Pop songs of 2005" play outside my window across the street...*Shudder*. Im gonna stop now..or else this will just turn into a rant..

I guess I agree with the being drunk and all that coz gee did have a drinking problem and yea it could be a sequal thingy. Im so glad they put this song and bury me in black on lie on the murder scene it's a really good cd/dvd thing.
This song is kinda sad and ya I don't know why they would call it desert song though

*sigh* this song has touched my life in so many ways. It's just fucking brilliant. Gerard puts so much emotion and intensity into it. As he does with pretty much all of their songs. Seems to me like this is continuing the story of Demolition Lovers. It has that whole "I'll die for you" vibe. Not exactly what the lyrics are describing to me though. I completely agree with that part about him getting drunk (lights/pavement from van/floor.. ect.) thats sorta what i think the song is about. Finding someone to help you with your problems. Someone to always be there for you. And help you cope with all sorts of shit your going through. That part about "Rocking out just for the dead" kinna feels like he's telling us, that performances/the band really helped him. It gave him a PURPOSE in life. To have a chance to touch other people's lives. And thats exactly what they do now. They touch lives from the very bottom of people's souls.

this is my new favorite MCR song.
I don't know what its supposed to mean, or what it means to anyone else but the
"Spend the rest of your days rocking out, just for the dead" reminded me of my friend who died this year and he played guitar so it kinda made me think about him.
My chemical romance is the fucking best band to walk this earth.

I adore this song and it makes me cry too. Gerard's voice sounds more raw in it esp. when he holds out the notes and it's just beautiful!! It's mezmirizing and haunting to me, idk about the rest of you.

It makes me feel sad for Gerard and all he's been through. I love that man :(
