just download the song...it makes me wanna cry it's so beautiful...i soooo want the dvd....i think gerard's voice is so eerie and beautiful and full in this song....so complete....heart wrenching even.... :' (....to me...one of their best songs.

well, can we get back to the meaning of the song and not where the lyrics came from? anywho. well, it seems to me that MCR just came up with another fucking brilliant song. it seems like this has the same emotion and feeling as demolition lovers: going to the end for the one you love. but thats not what the lyrics describe. the lyrics (in my mind anyways) seem to be like when Gerard was drunk: "From the lights to the pavement, From the van to the floor, from backstage to the doctor, from the earth to the morgue" that sounds like him falling over because hez drunk. the first part of the song sounds like he's asking someone to help him with his problem.. but no one can. and then "spend the rest of your days rocking out for the dead"

ahh, shit, my thing didnt come out. n e ways heres the rest of my interpretation:
that part means to me that the only way he can cope threw all the shit he's going threw is the band, performing, being on stage. That thats the only thing that was helping him and giving him a reason to live. and thats my interpretation. FUCKING BRILLIANT SONG. MCR=LIFE they have touched my life in so many ways. they are the only reason why im still alive. there my inspiration. and it feels like there actually THERE for me. throught their music. there there for everyone. telling you to find something in life and hang on to it. i fucking love them.

it sounds to me like a vampire's theme song!
i kno the lyricshave nothing 2 dow/ a vampire, but it's so painfully sad and beautiful....

are you sure that this isn't a cover?? there have been some people bitching that it was a def leppard cover and i didn't know because i do not listen to def leppard. either way, i don't care, but it would be even better if it was their own.

btw...everybody!!! the dvd ROCKS!!! everyone, and i mean, everyone needs to go out and pick it up! its only twenty dollars and it is worth twice that much!

Desert Song is NOT a cover of the Def Leppard. They just have the same song name, tis all. But it is amazing, I love it.

I got LOTMS today... took me two trips to the town (hehe alliteration) to get it though, but totally worth it.

yeah i went to the def leppard page and checked out the lyrics to their song...oops. definately not the same song. that makes me happy though because both the lyrics and the music are haunting and brilliant and i feel lots better knowing that its our guys that created it.

This song is absolutely amazing. I love you can actually hear Gerard's voice so clearly and amazing. His voice has defintely grown since he first started. He really knows how to deliver a song and make you feel it. Cause I'm feeling on the emotions when I listen to this song. It owns like crazy.

btw, LOTMS is amazing. Has me laughing all the time, but makes me sad too. 'Pumpkin pie, mother fucker.' LOL. Watch it and you'll know.

Haha, in the last couple of days I've posted one for this song along with other people. Anyway, I think this song was made to fit in with the whole "Demolition Lovers 2" theme going on in Life on The Murder Scene [Yes, apart from the song, the artwork on Three Cheers is called "Demolition Lovers 2", the tray artwork of the girl int the mourge [which I now know is the same character from the cover artwork] is called "Just The Way it Goes. Check the sleevenotes on the back if you want.] But also the dude with the bloody face is the same guy from the front artwork. Looks really graphic on the Life on The Murder Scene cover :) So, it's kinda obvious that "he" shot "her", also if you scroll through the menus you can see she was shot in the chest [on the live videos on disk 2.] and the only other question is motive! Was it a suicide pact that she willingly carried out so they could be together forever, or did something happen and he wanted to get revenge? Revenge sounds better fitting in with MCR's revenge theme though. Well, whatever happened, he covered it up and buried her, but it was un-covered and taken back to the mourge. I think he shot her in a fit of rage, realised what he'd done while she was still barely alive, the blood splattered onto her face, he did the whole "hugging her dying body to his chest "I'm so sorry"" thing. She loved him though, maybe shw wanted to die? He tried to get her to a doctor, decided not to, and THEN hid the body.

Umm.. that's gonna sound kinda sus lol! Anyway. here's my opinion. [ Also going with what I found from the Life On The Murder Scene menus]The guy and the girl are gonna get married, and then he goes crazy and shoots her [either some suicide pact he didn't wanna enter into, or he wnet crazy with rage and shot her out of revenge.] On the picture of her all blood covered she seems happy, so I think she wanted to die. He feels bad and tries to revive her, getting blood all over his mouth in the process. Then he goes to the doctor, realises it's gonna look kinda bad, buries her, and some random finds her and she's taken to the mourge where they find she's been shot repeatedly in the chest. Check the menus from LOTMS. Combined with those, it's a full story made especially for it! Really good :)

To asdfg and B12 if you're reading this: Urghh... Fine... whatever... i admit, i might have a short temper.... okay, so i stress the word 'might' a bit. For me, It's a tad hard to consider what is 'a joke' and what isn't... Especially when your writing. Reffering to the first page, how B12 said "ok, i think i'm starting to hate this band. first blur, now def leppard?" Well, just from reading it straight out like that, i thought you were being serious. How was i supposed to know you were joking? I jumped to conclusions, whatever, it was a mistake, deal with it, i don't care. I'm not in a fucking good mood atm. Am kinda sad actually hense why i'm not going off my head when i usually would. Say whatever the hell you want about me because i've heard it all, but I was just defending my favourite band coz i thought you were being serious and bagging them. If that makes me the most short tempered girl on the page, so be it.

I love this song. The version i listened to was in no way, like def leppards. Totally different lyrics and everything.

This song gives me chills, it's such a great track...I suppose I'll have to learn to play it.
