Quick fix and heart beats gets me..so easily
Now you got me on my knees
This will be the death of me
Tick-tock, time goes by

Hit me... so suddenly
How you knock me off my feet
I'm the Queen of Apologies

And I'm fighting this feeling
But it never stops, never stops
I'm still waiting
And I'm stuck with this feeling
Will it ever stop, ever stop
I keep trying

I blame no one but myself so honestly
Is this how its gonna be
Tell me, who's the enemy
Monkey on my back, keeps me..so desperately
How you got me on my knees
This will be the death of me

So sick of this feeling
But it never stops, never stops
I'm still waiting
And I'm stuck with this feeling
Will it ever stop, ever stop
You see I'm still shaking
And I'm fighting this feeling

This will be the death of me
I'm the Queen of Apologies

And I'm fighting this feeling
But it never stops, never stops
I'm still waiting
And I'm stuck with this feeling

Will it ever stop, ever stop
I keep trying
And I'm fighting this feeling
And I'm stuck with this feeling

Will it ever stop, ever stop
I keep trying

This will be the death of me
This will be the death of me
I'm the Queen of Apologies
This will be the death of me

My Interpretation:I think it could be about a relationship that turned sour. Things went bad, and love turned to hate and she's stuck with the feeling of hatred rather than the love they used to have. She feels stuck in the relationship and is 'stuck with this feeling' of hatred. The relationship doesn't necessarily have to be an abusive one, in any capacity, but the all knowing THEY say that love and hate aren't so different. Things can change very quickly: one minute you love someone, they next you hate them, but want to love them again.

There's the beauty of the song: it's vague. It can be interpreted in so many different ways and none of them are wrong. The artists have their meaning, the listeners have theirs, and no one is wrong. A great song, loving the remix.

General Comment:This song speaks to me. You know what I think? Love IS a drug. This song can be interpreted in several ways and it is what you make of it.

My Interpretation:It seems to simply be about someone who is very good at apologizing for anything over and over again, this explains the first part "Quick fix and heartbeats get me so easily", they're saying that quick apologies and a little show of emotion works on them everytime, so they're assuming everyone else in the world is like that too. However, "How'd you knock me off my feet?!" seems to show at some point they run into a situation where sorry isn't enough. Knowing that their apology has not granted them forgiveness, they are plagued by continuous guilt that they can't shake = "Monkey on my back". They then continuously wonder how this happened to them, even though they are the so called "Queen of Apology" and should be able to get out of any guilty situation easily.

My Interpretation:I think it could be about how one falls for the same ploy over and over again. There's someone they like and they keep on showing that it's unrequited, but somehow the hopes always get high and they end up falling on their face again. It's a devil's circle, but they just can't get out of it and they know it will be bad for them eventually.

General Comment:Definitely about addiction. It's natural to fall into a cycle of self-blame and denial (apologies).

The fact is that addiction, for many people, never -really- goes away. It can take a long time to be able to get through a day without the shakes, and that time can be more physically painful than anything else they've experienced.

And even then, for many people not a day will go by that they won't have to fight that feeling, and they do fight it knowing that all they have to do is smoke/drink/poke one quick fix and the pain would go away.

And of course, if she doesn't quit, she wakes up knowing what she did thas shortened her life. It will kill her if she keeps going, but maybe it's worse to quit.

    Addiction isn't fair.

General Comment:yea its deff a drug addiction drugs do make your heartbeat fast and time goes very slowly or so it may seem. " so sick of this feeling " refers to withdrawls. i agree with lespinach, its heroin.

General Comment:I think this song is about drug addiction and wishing for the strength to quit.
"Quick fix" and "monkey on my back" are pretty clear references, most likely regarding heroin.

General Comment:I think it's only about the singer's feelings of remorse/regret over something that we don't know. The song isn't specific. But it never leaves her, and it especially hits her hard when she sees a certain someone. Who she is, again, not specific about.

General Comment:I heard the Re-mix and I had to just analyze the song and I like all the other analysis so far but I would like to take this into happier terms

What this song is about is about love of course but it's about unrequited love at first then it being returned. First it talks about "Quick Fixes" and "Heartbeats" and what that can mean is that she did the quick fix and gave up and noticed that her heart still beated but she never truely gave up because her love could still drive her "On her knees" or under the feeling. For the next line she doesn't realise she is in love again till some time goes by and she thats when she apoligies for the first time. For the second verse the she is trying to give up again before her emotions engulf her again. For the third verse she is talking about how she really has no-one to blame but her self and how she can't call the person an Enemy. As for the Monkey it is the addiction of love for him. for the Fifth verse onword very much the same as the second one. As for the Line "This will be the death of me" she is talking about her split between loving him and trying to give up again.
