I kissed a girl with lips like Morphine...

I think this song is about all the time before you first kiss, and you have all these expectations for what its going to be like, and all this tension of wanting. When you finaly kiss, it feels almost less then imagined, and you need to keep kissing just to breathe. But when a girl comes along that really likes you, and really wants to kiss you, and her lips touch yours...morphine.

This song is about finally finding someone that just being with just knocks you off your feet. Their kiss is just everything you've always dreamt it should be when you find them. Eventhough he says "I've waited for all my life".. I don't think he has actually find this person yet. That's why he repeats "I want a girl with lips like morphine. He hasn't found his someone who's kiss leaves him gasping.

Great song.. lyrically and musically.

Yeah, i had a kiss like that once, and now i wish i never did, because nothing can beat it.

And livelikenotomorow it is a simile not a metaphor, because it uses the word "like" to directly describe the connection of lips and morphine. if he used a phrase like "her lips were morphine" or "the morphine of her lips knocked me flat on my a--" that would be a metaphor.

It’s apparent, that he fantasizes on his first kiss, with a girl who has ‘magical’ lips, that are luscious, and leave you in a daze. Again, apparent, when he says (“to be here with you tonight”) that he has obtained the girl.
Love the song, it’s awesome.

its quite rediculous.

i absolutely love kill hannah, lol.

but yeah when i am sad or something, i can just blast this song on my iPod, and the msic...and his voice....i can just close my eyes and drown everything else away. it's amazing.

This is my favorite song my Kill Hannah! The girl in the music video is actually Mat Devine's girl friend. They each brought a girl in for the part and they chose his girl friend. She has to kiss all of them too...which is kinda funnie.
