yeah andrew wrote it for his sister katie who was his bone marrow donor for his leukemia. this is just a clip, its longer than this though.

i also heard its going to be on their next soco cd.

no its on the next something corporate record on their site it says:
If all goes well with the transplant and it rids him of the cancer, McMahon will release "Katie" on the next Something Corporate album, which the band will write and record off and on over the next year as their singer recovers.

he plays it with both bands, so it isn't really considered to be a jm or soco song. the song is a lot longer than what is written here, andrew said he isn't sure when he is going to release it, or with which band. it was written for his sister katie who saved his life.

Livi, apparently - I've heard - that Andrew mentioned at some stop in Arizona that there will be another SoCo album out around January.. but I haven't heard anything else about this.

Alright, I figure I will enlighten you guys. JM will have a new album out in either Jan. or Feb. at which time they will tour. Then Andrew and the SoCo boys will reconvene for a new album. OR they will be doing that at the same time as the JM cd is recorded, and tour together after the release. Likely the latter. That is what I have heard from a friend at MCA.

the song is longer than this, this is just the chorus.
its for andrew's sister who was his bone marrow doner for his leukemia. im pretty sure he plays it with both jacks mannequin and something corporate.
either way, its amazing just like him.
