Can't put this off forever I've got to tell you some time But when I try and say it My mouth just gives up and dies I lose my meaning When I get this feeling Last night I nearly died But I woke up just in time Last night I nearly died But I woke up just in time I'm not who you think I am I slipped a stranger inside It helps the nights go quicker But I diminish each time And in the morning I shake the warning Last night I nearly died But I woke up just in time Last night I nearly died But I woke up just in time I lose my meaning And I get this feeling Last night I nearly died But I woke up just in time Last night I nearly died But I woke up just in time Last night I nearly died

General Comment:I always thought this song was about a relationship in which the narrator feels he's lying to the person he's with ('I'm not who you think I am, I slipped a stranger inside'), and that they don't know him, possibly due to secrets he's not telling them (Cant put this off forever, I've got to tell you some time).

Still, no matter what it's about it's a wonderful, truly amazing song! :D

General Comment:I always thought this song was about having nightmares, because he is cheating with random people... That might be a too literal translaton, though.

I first heard this song on the radio, two years ago in arts class. Those were four orgasmic minutes, I heard something I had never encountered before and for the whole day, I tried to remember the name of the song, so I could download it as soon as I got home. Since then I have been listening to him.

General Comment:I first heard this song when Duke supported David Ford at the Liverpool Carling Academy, and it ended up stuck in my head for a week after til I bought the album - dangerously catchy! Much better live though. As for meaning, I have no idea so I'll agree with thunderball :-p

General Comment:According to the dreadlocked genius himself, it's about waking up on the central reservation after a car crash. Based on a true story!
