Wading through a river of stars
Our lips touch like butterflies from a canon
Taking a bellybutton bath with Mr. Neptune
And my hippopotamus tennis shoes on
Oh-ee-oh

Moonlight bounces off the ocean
And gets stuck in your hair
Oo-woo

Does my voice not have wings?
Yours are the only ears I want to disco
And I say, "You are who I'm breathing for"

Putting a raisin under your pillow
And a couple in your heart
To fall out when you laugh
Like a volcano laughs at a Chinese octopus
You need a cat chasing angels out of a kitchen

A blue crab apple spider
Makes a web out of banana cream
Oo-o-oo

Does my voice not have wings?
Yours are the only ears I want to disco
And I say, "You are who I'm breathing for"

General Comment:i believe the story goes that all the songs on this album, being "the early four-track recordings", didn't originally have titles. when of montreal compiled them, they decided to give them all goofy names having to do with an absurd story about dustin hoffman, who has nothing to do with this album.

General Comment:To pbrazil: No. I doubt it. I would've liked it better if the Dustin Hoffman titles had something remotely related to the songs. But this CD is so great anyway!

General Comment:Is there any particular reason that all these songs have Dustin Hoffman in their title?

General Comment:For those of you who have downloaded the pre-Cherry Peel demo songs, this is the final version of "Does My Voice Not Have Wings".
