How many hangings tonight under the red moon

How deep will it sink inside eating skin that doesn't match?
The snake maes way through the sheets and goes inside the uterus.

It can seem like a someivoshino a cherry blossom petal,
that dances sadly. The stain is the moon that's fullfilled,

and the vomiting at night begins. Don't you remember?

Colour of faint...the night begins and people start to awe
Colour of pomegranate...sting with the prick and disappear far away

How many secret hangings of the premature baby tonight under the red moon

Bloody Baby&Sacrifice

Don't you remember?

Colour of Golden yellow...want to be the spider that stings
Colour of tears...remembering the memories
Colour of faint...the night begins and people start to awe
Colour of pomegranate...sting with the prick and disappear far away

    General Comment:Man you guys suck.

It's about the original sin. Satan's Seed.

    Fucking retards.

The snake in the womb. The blood red moon. The pomegranate fruit - fruit of the gods, forbidden fruit. Watch the uncut, so obvious from the priest in sutra papers.

But then to expect Americans to understand Japanese culture is like expecting an ant to understand a elephant. Impossible.

General Comment:I will probably make most of you guys angry but after watching many of the Dir en Grey videos, reading their lyrics I would say this is the pruest manifestation of the neurotic necrophilia I've ever seen.
I can recommend to read Erich Fromm: The Anatomy of Destruction to understand this pehenomenon deeply.
You can find all the necrophil elements in Kyo's lyrics, the videos, in his (the band's) whole art.
In one of the earlier concert videos he prodly admitts that he loved the Sado-mazo porn which, in my opinion could be another proof of his sadistic-mazochistic-necrophil character.

    With the words of Fromm:
"They have the passionate attraction to all that is dead, decayed, putrid, sickly; it is the passion to transform that which is alive into something unalive; to destroy for the sake of destruction; the exclusive interest in all that is purely mechanical. It is the passion to tear apart living structures."

Yes, this song is definately about abortion along with other songs but this apparent contradiction between "saving the innocent embrio" and the destruction elsewhere fits perfectly in the picture. The necrophilius worships only one kind of life besides the mechanical, dead things (remember the picture with the truncated woman whose body parts are re-connected mechanical). And this is the life in the womb. The life before life. In many cases the Land (Vaterland) symbolizes the womb. If you die for it it will bury you it will save you, cherish you forever like the mother's womb. The necrophilius wants to go back to the womb, his only answer to the challenges and antagonism of life is death and finally escape from the living world. If you watch it carefully you can see that this guy's passion "to save the innocent unborn" appears only in negative ways (destruction in every scene, never a hint for love of life) and if you put them together with the other songs where rape of the dead person, destruction, killing appear they can't really belive his passion for living things.

By the way it's unfortunately not an isolated pehenomenon, our civilization is an ideal terrain for breeding of such sadistic-mazochistic and the full-blown nechrophil character. And pehaps we should be happy if somebody like this guy expresses his passion in art, rather than other ways. Hopefully.

My Opinion:I definitely think that this song is about abortion. That's the strongest vibe I'm getting from it. However, the video brings to mind a more primitive kind of abortion. Back in the olden days, I'm not sure exactly how long ago, but before birth control, when a whore got pregnant in a brothel, she would be taken to a place where they would pretty much force a miscarriage by beating her repeatedly. It was a very horrible thing. The line, 'the night begins and people start to awe' kind of makes me think of what they might be admiring - a very beautiful woman who you would never know had been pregnant before? But then comes the mentions of the needle, so really they're talking about modern-day abortion. It could be both, I guess.

General Comment:I have to say that this is the only video that has ever made me throw up!!! I am a hard core metal head I listen to Heavy metal 24/7 and all of those videos are extremly graphic..... but this was something esle!!! I literally sat down. Saw the whole video from start to end and then got up walked to my bathroom and just blew chunks it was sick and awesome at the same time. I have to say that dir en grey is my new fave band along with Cradle of Filth!!! but wow seriously!!! I dont believe in abortion anymore at all!!! they should air this video publicly and see what people have to say about killing innocent babies now!!! I hope this gives them all nightmares like it gave me!!!

I also see that no one mentioned the dead bodies hanging around the band. Why were they there? here are my two opinions on that. One- it looks freaking awesome!!! Two- suicide due to the guilt of having an abortion. like the mothers and fathers could not handle to look at themselfs after what they had done and killed themselfs...... maybe it sounds stupid Idk these are just my opinions.

I also decided that I am going to marry kyo!!! He is the new love of my life!!! I also hope that he does not think of me falling madly in love with him and wanting to do more than just kiss him is abusing sex XD!!! Call me Kyo!!!! X~O~X~O~X

General Comment:Definitely about the dark side of sex in general, though more specifically the consequences.

The video is one of the best music videos ever, period; the symbollism is genius. I think most of the analyzation has been covered here, but I would like to point out the... naked robot woman with no limbs? You know what I mean.

That woman represents a life without meaning, as a relation to a mother who wants to abort her child. The woman and the unborn fetus are parallels, as are the mother of the unborn child and the gas-mask scientist in the PV. The scientist dictates the womans actions via a remote control, showing the woman has no control over her actions, or more directly, what happens to her. Along with the inability to think for herself, the woman also has her limbs severed, showing that her life is ultimately pointless. The life of a soon-to-be-aborted fetus runs in practically the same way; what happens to the baby is out of its control, and its existence is seemingly pointless altogether.

My Opinion:In the video, where there are various characters going round in circles on a stage makes me think of the control that the mothers can have over the baby with abortion, and that the fact that there are different people on the stage makes me think because they are clowns and dwarfs all trying to impress, representing miscarriages and then they are suddenly controlled to go round and round, as if the person has realized that the child is a miscarriage and they abort them, explaining the sudden control.

    Just my opinion though.

General Comment:I cried once I saw this video. It's my favorite DIRU video, and the most graphic. I've lost children in my past relationships, and I've lost brothers and sisters. I can't even begin to imagine how I'd feel if all of those were just senseless murders from Abortion. Basically, I think this whole thing is about abortion. But I do think everyone's made that completely obvious now. It's basically asking the woman the following.

"How could you do that to your child."
"How would you feel if you died the same?"
"Don't you remember the suffering you went through?"
"If you didn't want a child, why have sex?"

It's a beautiful song, and I believe everyone should listen to it at least once. Make them think with their minds first.
