And He set me on fire, and I am burning alive.
With His breath in my lungs I am coming undone.
And I cannot hold it in and remain composed.
Love's taken over me and so I propose the letting myself go.
I am letting myself go.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
I need to catch my breath, I need to.
I need to catch my breath, give me a moment now.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
I'm laughing so hard...
With His breath in my lungs I am coming undone.
And I cannot hold it in and remain composed.
Love's taken over me and so I propose the letting myself go.
I am letting myself go.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
I need to catch my breath, I need to.
I need to catch my breath, give me a moment now.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
You are my joy.
I'm laughing so hard...

YOU ARE MY JOY!
this song really ignites my passion for God. sometimes when this song plays, i just dance. its a good way to express to God how much he means to me. He truly is my joy.
He needs to catch his breath because God is the source of his fiery passion and if he does not pause to breath he will not be close God. He has to stop in mid song around thousand of audience members to "catch his breath," which is figuratively saying to center himself on God.
As it would turn out (Crowder probably knows this), the word for worship in Greek (which was one of the original languages of the Bible) is pneuma. Phneuma is the root word for pneumonia and it literally means to breathe. So when the Bible says to worship God, the Greek readers were reading to "breathe God."
David Crowder understands that while he is a worshiper, he is also a worship leader, and his purpose in life is to lift up others in mutual worship of God. His final song on this album (A Collision) is titled "The Lark Ascending (I'm Trying to Make You Sing)"
I think in this song he was trying to lead everyone into not just worshiping God but to actually breathe him. To pause in the middle of a song and catch a breath of God, something that most people have never done before. In the Psalms this kind of pause is called a "Selah" which roughly translates from Hebrew to mean "a holy pause"
The last line of the song is "I'm laughing so hard." Laughing occurs when you joyfully expel air from your lungs. In fitting with the rest of the song, he is outpouring God with great joy for everyone around him that they too may enjoy God. Hence the repetition of "You are my joy."
So all in all this song reflect the cycle: pause and inhale God -> spread this joy to everyone around you -> catch you breath and inhale God

turned up really loud.
I know this sound has been referred to as DC*B's "rock opera" but it's too much for me?
