Lyrics for Hey Light as interpreted by couldBanyone

Hey Light Lyrics
Ya! Woo! Ya! Woo! Ya! Woo Ya! Woo! (repeated screaming)

Hey Light
In the curtain, in the room, in a well-made bed for two, I'm walking.

Hey Light
I'd forgotten work today, cause you should work all day, they're walking

Hey Light, the colors will arise, keep it deep inside, we are also working

Hey Light
I can wear my moccasins
you have made me smile again. There aint nothin' like you. (repeated until fade out)

I tried my best on this one because it is one of my favorite tracks from Here Comes the Indian. The faster verses in the beginning are hard to distinguish fully. If anyone has an idea about these send a comment and I will change them. Even withouth that comprehension it still is a very evocative and powerful song. The ending chant has an amazingly eerie campfire chant quality about it. The light could possibly be the sun or moon, a chant relating the simple splendor of the sun/moon.

I love animal collective so much...but this song is just so strange. I can't get into most of this album. It makes me laugh though, because it's so random.

This album kind of reminds me of The Cure, like around Faith and Pornography. Just a little bit more optimistic of course, haha

I show this to my friends when they're high and they laugh their asses off. Very trippy and extremely creative. My favorite off here comes the indian easily but kinda drags on

I feel like this song could be about two people up together in bed all through the night making love, and not wanting it to be morning for the sake of having to end the nights festivities, but at the same time happy for the morning (light) because it starts a new day for them to be together and do other things.. I don't know, maybe that doesn't fit, but this is indeed a trippy song to listen to high.

I love this song, it makes me laugh, even if it is slightly...odd.

I think the lyrics are pretty much right. Does anyone know what is being said before they start going "ahh" "ahh" "ahh" ahh"???
