Has anyone else tried to translate the French that's on the album packaging and on the back of the booklet? On the packaging it says:
Ceci est le premier disque par la bande My Chemical Romance. Ils sont plu de l' apporter très à vous dans "futuristic le format de disque compact". Il contient onze pistes de musique. Il a pris onze jours pour faire. Il a pris cinq visites de salle de cas urgent pour finir. Trois acclamations pour la vengeance douce!

And on the booklet it says:
Merci pour le venin.

The first one translated roughly to:
This is the first disc by the band My Chemical Romance. They are very pleased to bring it to you in "the futuristic format of compact disc". It contains eleven tracks of music. It took eleven days to do. It took five room visits of urgent case to finish. Three cheers for sweet revenge!

And the second:
Thank you for the venom.

I just thought the last two lines were interesting. Gerard says he usually has the title for the next album in mind when he's finishing one, so this could be an example. And he also said something in Life on the Murder Scene about how at the first show they played, he wore a shirt that said "Thank You For The Venom"... Just a random connection I made. And I thought here would be the best place to talk about it on this site, since it's the first song and only instrumental one on the album.

asdfg: "there are lyrics for this but i cant work em out, on youtube.com"

B12 is right -- there are no lyrics for this song. You must be confusing it with "Interlude," (Track 8 on the album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge) which comes right before "Thank You for the Venom" (track 9 on Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge). "INTERLUDE" DOES have lyrics, but "ROMANCE" DOESN'T.

It's such a beautiful song, it's so relaxing, and just the way Ray does it makes me want to just...ah, I don't know! It's just an amazing piece. I thought Ray had come up with it himself...either way, it's just so goddamn beautiful!

And I'm laughing with BothOurCarsCollide...instrumental on a lyrics site.

this is actually a rather classical piece, but a bunch of other artists have recorded it. i've never heard lyrics in any of the other recordings, and to my knowledge if there are they're in spanish... right?

the reason their isn't lyrics on the album but there is live, is because while recording the album Gerard had an absece (cant spell :P) and he had trouble with the singing, so I think that they decided to make it an instrumental to make it sound more eerie.

Just because there may not be lyrics doesn't mean theres no song meaning behind it.

ummm... i read somewhere else on this site someone said that they played something almost identical to this in the original dawn of the dead.... i dunno...it makes sense tho being that early sunsets over monroeville is based on the movie as well... even tho this is an "instrumental", its still a great song... :)

i was at the brixton show (04/11/2005) when they played this.

i brought the bootlegged dvd of it too (shh)

it sounded to me when i was there like a load of drunken mumbling but as it was late 2005 he was obviously sober

when i relistened on the bootlegged dvd it sounds like (dont quote me i said it sounds LIKE)

you came in my life and _____ and _____ and you threw, alll of your(?) things out the window, you're gone, you're gone, you're gone.... and then he repeats the 'you're gone' bit another 3 times.. it went straight into i never told you what i do for a living after this song, so idk what that has to do with the song

im not sure

the author of this song is unknown, but Narciso yepes, a spanish guitarist played it in the french old movie "jeux interdits" and then the song became more famous than the movie.

Why would you put an instrumental song on a site dedictated to finding out the song meaning? And, it's for like..lyrics.
But yeah this is a great song. It's a cover, though
